@GettinBurned While I do think the first and second generations were the best, I think the main reason for this is nostalgia. They just improved the series with every generation, the only thing that makes people hate them is nostalgia.

@Krisipoke Actually it kind of depends on who you ask because the design for the new pokemon has really gotten out of hand for the DS games. They also took out a few things from pokemon crystal which they still haven't added to the newer generation. They have made it a lot more kid friendly than before which is a killer blow for all the people who grew up with the first games. Basically in my opinion the series was still pretty good until the DS and the Wii games came out then it went to hell :(

I would definitely debate this. For example, in my opinion DPPt has a much less well designed world than GSC, less good music, etc. Even objectively, it was slower than Gen 3, an obvious downgrade.

Anyway, it's not important, it's all opinion, but you know that Gen 5 is my second favorite one, coming before Gen 1.

But one thing that did improve with every generation is the battle system. Nobody can deny that.

@1Undertaker14 I know, but many more Pokémon, like Ho-oh and Lugia have the same base stat totals, so they can be equally strong if EV trained correctly. But every Pokémon can be defeated, so there really is no "strongest" Pokémon out there.

They are all based around something (like fire, water, mountains, etc), and they only have 1 song per franchise (spinoffs doesn't count as the same franchise as the original games, that would be a lot harder to do). I suggest you checking them out, considering you love Nintendo music, just like me!

i loved champion cynthias battle music because you have beaten the elite 4 your hearts quietly jumping in the backgroung and you stop breathing and you get a wave of determination the final boss of the game (not including post story) really great song
