  • Hi, Billy Starr (Billy Stallard) was my husband's birth father. This is one record I don't have by him. I've been trying to buy all of his records that I can find so that my 3 daughters, 4 grandkids, and (so far) 3 great grandkids will have something of his.

My husband never met his father, but we have met several of his cousins and we were thrilled to find them only 6 weeks before he died. I would love to have any information about him concerning his business career. Also his wives names .

I know very little about Billy Starr. The other side of this record is "I Wanta". It's in rough shape and was given to me as a bonus thrown in by a record dealer as part of an order of 45s that I bought from him. I've never been able to find another (better) copy. He had another 45 on this Twy-Lite label. It's #751 with "You Ask Me Why I'm Jealous" and an unidentified song on the flip. I read this in a record collector's guide, but can't find a copy. I wish that I had more info!

  • Bill was married to my Grandmother when he passed away her name is Violet Stallard

  • Billy was friends with my Father, Bob Cox. I grew up with this song. I remember playing the record when I was a kid!!

  • Now this is real Country!!
