  • Takes me back to Alpine, Texas when I attended Sul Ross State U. Use to play this at top volume while "flying" down the scenic highway. Good times, great song! Thanks for posting!

  • This song has the beautiful sound feel of Dave Mason's Only You Know And I Know composed by Delaney Bramlett

  • Even though this was not a maga hit at the time... it is a great song that has endured... I love tuning into classic Vinyl in the afternoons to hear it on the radio... what a wonderful sensation!

  • This is the best song to start off a road trip

  • @Intheflesh44 Actually best song to start a trip1

  • 2 people are not going mobile

  • Roger does not sing any of the lyrics on this song... it is all Pete

  • @etrius24 Roger that

  • Mobile Audit Club will be pinching the heads off of shrimp when the illegal puppet dictators are decastripated in Mobile and New Orleans and Nashville. We be equal with equal right and if it smell fishy, it must be a shrimp, pinch a head o shrimps.

    google Mobile Audit Club

  • Great song, Great album, Great Band.

  • Piss on 2001 A space odyssey is the message, I guess

  • it was ouyt in the middle of nowhere..its also a tip of the hat to when the rolling stones were arrested and fined in early 60's for pissing behind a gas station

  • Pete at his best.... He started the sythesizer phenomenon... this is the first song where a guitar is plugged into a synthesizer.... go Pete... just listen to the funky sounds at the end... a true visionary

  • 2 people have flat tires

  • that was some pretty liquid material left on that concrete porta-potty sewer they decided to use for an album cover :(

  • How the hell did "Bigger than Jesus" end up on the comments? This is a WHO song.

  • Music does not require anyone to be a part of any religion. Rock bands and Pop bands do not tell fans to believe in any kind of religion. They just want people to listen to their music. The Beatles and other successful bands probably had more followers than Jesus Christ because the FANS were from different faiths and beliefs. There will be Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans, Jews, Buddhists, even agnostics and atheists listening to The Beatles, The Who and The Rolling Stones. Music is universal.

  • Fuckers 1 line please nobody wants to read your fuckin book report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i dont lame roger dalrty for refusing to sing this one. it is very feminine.

    beep beep.

  • the cover looks like the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Wonder if that was intentional.

  • @Boudosaved It is such an iconic cover, much in part because it is so unique. And, oddly enough, despite it appearing in such a barren apparent wasteland of an area, it looks rather cool, stylish, appealing in its own way; as if it were along a rather volcanic landscape.

It is an interesting cover alright though; wherever and in whichever area at which it was shot.

  • @Boudosaved Yeah, when they saw it they started acting like the apes in the movie, there are pictures of it somewhere

  • @Boudosaved

    It is.

Pete said in an interview that they had asked Kubrik to direct the Tommy movie, and he said no. So this cover is supposed to be a joke of them pissing on the monolith from 2001.

  • @Boudosaved according to the CD booklet, it was.

  • @Boudosaved

The old story is they had asked Stanley Kubrick to direct the movie version of Tommy and he passed so they all took a leak on the monolith. True? Who knows!

  • I remember when I would first put my lambo countach lp400 on the road after a long winter in Toronto and go ripping up the 400 hwy man listening to this tune cranked right up those were the days hit 320kmh a few times when there was open road.

  • might I just say that this video is made so we can listen to a great who song...not argue about Beatles vs the whole of Christianity!

  • This is one of my favorite "who songs... :)

  • Listen, I'm a Christian. I took no offense to What Lennon said. He is one of the if not the songwriter EVER. He meant, Everyone in the world knows the Beatles. Not all of those people worship Jesus Christ like you and I do. UNDERSTAND. he didn't mean to insult Christ.

  • @StiLLa6997 he did blasphemy God along with yoko ono. that is why he reaped what he sowed into his grave by opening his mouth too much.

  • @BBQFanNo1

so, because people are idiots and are easily harmed by mere words, because people are to stupid to actually realize that it had nothing to do with Christianity itself, he deserved death. so your saying that whenever we see someone in need of help, we should just ignore them, cause he also opened his mouth against that to. wow, yuor more dumb than i can even fathom.

  • @Mikkael365 btw p.s. there are really no parties in hell if that is what you think going there is. you will have many company. but not happy company.

  • @Mikkael365 he is a hypocrite that did it for publicity. check the record and evidence from people who personally knew about him.

  • @BBQFanNo1

doesn't matter whether he was a hypocrite or not, and i know he was a selfish bastard who didn't give a shit about anyone except him and the music, and maybe yoko. but, that doesn't change the fact he still did it, he still did what i doubt anyone of us, even you, would even consider doing, speaking out against the governments actions, and actually taking the time put effort into it, none of this "oh, i don't my taxes, lets start a protest" bullshit. so make a better argument next.

  • @Mikkael365 Like GFR's Mark Farner said I did not get religion. Being Born Again and Saved is not about religion, philosophy,or a reward for living life being a good person.

  • @BBQFanNo1 you are an idiot and American Taliban member.

  • WHAT does all this "John-Lennon-Beatles-Bigger-Than-Christ" CRAP have to do with the really fantastic SONG which, presumably, you're listening to right now/just finished listening to ??!!??

  • @ctdsnark It's not nice to be rude to a guest. If you can't keep up with the conversation, it's better to keep quiet. - Hannibal Lecter

  • @ctdsnark I know you wrote this about people like me. Strange thing I agree and I laughed. Goin mobile.

  • Love the ending where one track uses the synthesizer for keyboard effect while the other uses it for lead guitar. I love Baba O'Riley & Won't Get Fooled Again but this has to be the most extraordinary use of synthesizers I have ever heard on any song.

  • @bondurango so very true . one of my all time WHO favs.

  • When you hang a man; you be+~*+~*ER LOOK a+~*ém~*

  • If it weren’t for the BEATLES there wouldn’t have been the Who. Rock was dead, but the Beatles brought it back to life. How’d you like to listen to an Elvis that thought he was Frank Sinatra with hips, or Frankie Valle the rest of your life? Excuse me while I vomit.

  • @MyNews1951 i liked the Beatles only until before John Lennon blasphemously said they were greater than Jesus Christ. Anyone blaspheming God crosses the line with me.

  • @BBQFanNo1 You obviously didn't take the time to investigate that story. He merely stated that the Beatles had more followers than the Church of England and, as usual, it was taken out of context by the self-righteous, right-wing “Christians” who inhabit the Bible Belt. It doesn't say much for Christianity that four lads from Liverpool could dislodge Jesus from his pedestal.

  • @MyNews1951 john lennon wote a poen about that

  • @MyNews1951 ya like im a huge christian but like come on he wasnt saying he was better than jesus just that he was more popular and honestly at the time they were

  • @ceasersxxxprotege "He merely stated that the Beatles had more followers than the Church of England..." I believe that is what I stated. Not better, just more popular.

  • @MyNews1951 it does not matter in eternity what they do in their life on this earth what anybody does without God. He will continue forever while people are with Him or damned to hell forever. it doesnt matter what you or me think or say alone without God.

  • @BBQFanNo1

and god doesn't give a shit about you, because you are simply one in many, not unique, not special, just another sheep in the herd. oh and the next time you use the phrase "reaped what he sowed", actually understand what it means next time, cause you obviously have no idea what your talking about.

  • @MyNews1951 Christianity does not have the most numbers of followers when it comes to Religion. Islam has the most number of devout followers in the world. There are more Roman Catholics in the world than Anglican (Church of England) followers so it would be easy to say that the Beatles and other bands had a lot more followers because music is universal. The Beatles, The Who and The Rolling Stones had followers from various faiths (Protestant, Jews, Catholics, etc including atheists)

  • @MrHardrod2

I highly doubt Islam has a fraction of the followers that all the various forms of Christianity do. That does not even make logical sense.

  • @MrHardrod2 Like GFR's Mark Farner said I did not get religion. Being Born Again and Saved through the Person God the Son Jesus Christ is not about religion, philosophy,or a reward for living life being a good person or coming from a good family or coming from good parents. It is literally Regeneration much more than a just a mental or physical state of existence.

  • @BBQFanNo1

    yuor an idiot

  • @BBQFanNo1 So now you think you're holier and mightier than thou? What makes you think you're better? Because of Jesus? By the way, in the United States, there is a right to choose one's faith or religion. People are FREE to believe what they want to believe and FREE to choose their own religion. NOT EVERYONE WILL LISTEN TO YOUR BELIEFS BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT UPBRINGING AND SOCIAL CLASS. The Beatles and other bands had more followers because the FANS come from various faiths and religion.
