scotties are beautiful dogs, i'm going to get a scotty in a couple months, and hearing the love everyone has for their scotties i think it would be a great addition to the family.
I will NEVER forget my girl "Kiltie"...she was most beautiful Scotty ever, sweet, loyal and very loving and kind. My heart got very broken...she was poisoned, ate few slug bait pellets I'd put out in my prized flower bed. She rarely spent time outside unsupervised,. 3 days of heroic vet measures, she still lost her life
and her death about killed me.
I had to be medicated I was so distraught. Its been more than 15 yrs and I still cry whenever I think of her dying. I blame self!
@ChryTears It will soon be 3 years. I can't think of my Forever An'GUS without tears pouring. When I lost him, I wanted to go along with him....there is no medication, my friend, to ease the pain. People like us just have to learn to live with the pain... Please forgive yourself. I had a similar situation with a one year old Scottie. I know of several people who had accidents such as ours. Terrible accidents happen ... Kiltie would not want you to be sad...always rememer that. God bless.
What a beautiful little scotty :( This makes me really sad; my own scotty, Angus, is 13 now and has recently become deaf.. it just reminds me that his time is probably soon coming, and he's the dog I grew up with from 3rd grade into college, so I know it'll kill me when he passes :(
Hamish was a gorgeous boy and he looks like he definitely had a great life <3
My Donovan is like another son to me and a brother to my 7 year old. Don likes to steal pizza and poptarts when my son isn't watching. Hamish was/is/will always be a fine lad. and LOL at the plastic bottle, Donovan so does that!!!
sorry for ur loss,it sucks loosing a member of ur family its a wound that will never fully heel,most people think Animals are toys that can be replaced,they can't theirs only one of each kind.

I have been in tears thru this entire video as I know your pain and to lose a Scottie -- is the worst of all.
@ChrisCurtisFan I lost my angus last night He was ten yrs old and died from liver failure,... Ive been through alot in thirty years and losing him is one of the worst. What a great dog, Me and my girlfriend miss him alot.

He would have been 12 if he had lived another month...we shared the same birthday because we didn't know what what month/day he was orn exactly. He came from the shelter. Losing him was 2nd only to the loss of my Mother. I know your sadness and I am crying tears for your loss. I can tell he had a wonderful home, and was much beloved. God bless your baby....and you.

I have a Hamish, too. He's a red brindle Scottish Terrier. He was going to be 4 in February but he was just diagnosed with lymphoma. I'm trying to appreciate every moment I have left with him.
Followup. The surgeons must have got it. Story is: my Hamish had his small intestine twisted where it joins the large intestine. They removed that section including the cecum and the biopsy showed it had lymphoma. It must not have metastasized because 2 years later we still have our Hamish. This tribute really helps me appreciate that I have been able to keep my friend so much longer than I expected. These really are special dogs.
Aww, poor Hamish :(...I have a Scottie too. Hamish (Love that name) looks almost EXACTLY like Max. I'm so sorry about the loss...I know he lived a long and happy life. May he rest in peace.

Such a beauty, I am sure he will be remembered ALWAYS. I am sorry for your loss and grieving is so hard and painful. I lost my girl in May and have a hard time to deal with the loss, even though I have a new baby now. I watched your video with tears :( Hope you are feeling OK now.
He was sick for a few days, took him to the vet who said he had a stomach bug and sent him home with some meds and special food. He passed away two days later :(

Seems like he had a good life (he certainly seemed happy enough attacking that jug anyway).
My own scottie passed on 3 weeks ago, 15 years old, ach well.
I just love the characters of these 'little buggers', makes me smile.
