  • I guess G.Bush was the one guy who didn't like this clip.

  • an absolutely brilliant man.

  • I wonder if Thompson and George Carlin knew each other, wouls be imteresting conversation

  • My ideal heaven is sitting at a round table in a bar with Hunter S. Thompson, George Carlin, and Bill Hicks, drinking, smoking cigarettes, and talking, with a jukebox filled with every great rock album ever concieved playing at random, for all of eternity.

  • all things come to an end. can't wait to see this world cower. you're not the only life in this universe and you're certainly not important by any means in that context. so when humans die just know somewhere i am sincerely uncontrollably laughing my fucking ass off at you all :D fuck you! die soon. amount to nothin (not hard to do for your species) :)

  • one of the best american writers period.

  • @4:30 Aghh! A wormhole!

  • He is right on with 911, but on the other hand he did snuff films and porno films..

He is corrupt as all get out.

  • @Mi37591 How is he corrupt? He never did snuff films. That's a flat out lie.

  • @Mi37591 There is no evidence for any claim you make.

  • This guy made snuff flims and hung out at Bohemian grove. Google the Franklin coverup and Mark Dice's expose.

"The autumn months are never a calm time in America. . . . There is always a rash of kidnapping and abductions of schoolchildren in the football months. Preteens of both sexes are traditionally seized and grabbed off the streets by gangs of organized perverts who traditionally give them as Christmas gifts to each other to be personal sex slaves and playthings."

    Hunter Thompson

  • @FeelGood30 That's a myth. Stop spreading bull shit, it stinks.

  • 'massive flag sucking patriotic orgy...." exactly

  • @Silvereagle2061: *you're a god damn retard(correction on "you're")

  • @Silvereagle: your a god damn retard. It's pea brains like you that is what's wrong with this country. Hunter accomplished more than you'll EVER accomplish!. Hahahahhahaha

  • I believe it was this very interview and a few others Hunter S. Thompson gave in this period that contributed to his murder. Don't believe all that rubbish about suicide for one second.

  • What happened to the American dream? It came true...

  • Voting is no longer sufficient. Vote for Blue team or Red team? No matter. The control of each and every President lays behind the throne so-to-speak. Was Hunter really naive enough to think there is a choice? That we could vote for change? If anything the Obama Presidency has proven otherwise. The puppet masters are there and always have been. Some people chose to ignore the strings, pretending they are not there in false belief in a fractured American system.

  • @clearasvodka Obama was never about change (despite what he claimed) and it was ridiculous to think he would be. Ron Paul is real change. You can tell by the way the media has tried to ignore him. They are afraid of his message getting out. Even with his limited exposure (in the mainstream media) he has a very strong and growing base of supporters. He raised more money from military than any other candidate and has drawn more money than anyone.

  • @HGeneAnthony

Anyone that thinks we have any control over the future is a fucking idiot, that's why I don't believe in anything but not believing. I will suffer a similar fate to this man because I cannot operate here within these parameters.

  • @ZZLe4Ni shit, you're far out mannnnnnnnnnnn.

  • @redeadnixon Not really I don't think in rainbows.

  • @ZZLe4Ni That's ugly man. Stop talking like that.

  • @ZZLe4Ni I don't think this beautiful man would have suffered his fate, if he saw the beautiful movement behind ending the wars, auditing the fed, restoring our civil liberties including the war on drugs, the movement behind Congressman/Dr. Ron Paul. People are waking up, the power is in the people and they're starting to see they have a bought congress, and not one presidential candidate for years has had anything but special interests in mind. There is still hope, Ron Paul 2012

  • There was nothing "real" about this man. His view of everything was through the eyes of a self medicated addict. He was delusional on top of being a drug addict. I see no reason to glorify this hippie.

  • @silvereagle2061 There are few people as real as this "hippie" he was a genius and one of the best writers of our time if you read even a little of his work you would know this

  • @MrJasonn I agree

  • @silvereagle2061 You've missed some very funny books with that dismissive attitude

  • @silvereagle2061

Honestly, how many brilliant/genious men & women have been addicts of booze, perscription drugs, illeagle street drugs & anything you can fathom. So to say he wasn't REAL? Bullshit! There are few that come anymore realistic than HST. He speaks the undying truth & pulled the skirt down on NUMEROUS government issues & shit journalists that we now have (Fox news & etc). Bill O'Reily is the most delusional fuck EVER, & he's sober! What does that say? People adore that moron!

  • @dj6cents You can't deny the fact that drugs CAN make you delusional to some extent though, especially if you abuse them rather than using them.

  • @redeadnixon "drugs" is a very loose term and this guy was not a crack head so shove your ignorant face in another direction.

  • @THErickuss First off I never said he was a crackhead, second, too much acid (and all the other stuff he took/experimented with) will fuck with your head eventually, regardless of how amusing/interesting or insightful your works are. Making you delusional. Third, chill out with the hostility, seems like you're the ignorant one mate.

  • @redeadnixon hey there mate, what part of this man seems delusional to you here? He's just another fine example of brilliant man ahead of his times in my opinion.

  • @rickyp17 Well, seeing as there are only interviews, and I know nothing of his personal life I can't really give an example. But you can't deny that excessive drug use does cause delusion (even if only a little).

  • @redeadnixon They can also do quite the opposite to some of us, basically just depends on how you look at it too, andsome people can definetly handle a lot more then others, especially Hunter.

  • @redeadnixon and also you say "drugs" when that is such a VAST variety of things.. I can tell you first hand smoking lots of marijuana everyday for the past year has not made ME delusional.. I can tell you that slipping into somewhat of an addiction of percocet CAN make you very delusional, from first hand experience as well, but those are in my past and i am fine now. Every single person handles things differently.

  • @rickyp17 not to mention consistently smoking for 6.

  • @rickyp17 Then obviously you know, and to be specific, I'm referring to 'recreational substances' such as ether, lsd, chloroform, cocaine, dmt, shrooms, etc the list goes on, not to mention all the other experimental shit he tried.

Another thing, you can't know that you're delusional until someone coming from an external perspective has listened to what your view of reality is, at that time. Or until afterward (like you said with percocet), when you've come out of that perspective.

  • @redeadnixon Forgot to add, you're right about some people getting the opposite effect though.

  • @rickyp17 Cont. I'm no stranger to weed or shrooms, otherwise I wouldn't even be saying any of this. But whether for good or for bad, drugs (the ones HST mentions in his writings) will eventually make you delusional to some extent. Is that clear enough for you?

  • @redeadnixon but that's why i got in this argument, I felt like you were making an opiniated argument, sound like it was a factual one, when they're are just to many variables you could argue.

  • @rickyp17 Lol, forget it then, at least we can both agree he was a cool guy yeah?

  • @redeadnixon let's just say Raol Duke was very delusional depending on your definition of the word, and Hunter S Thompson was his saner idenity, and yeah definetly chill guy either way.

  • Brilliant man. I wish he were still alive today. Everything he said in the wake of 9/11 has happened. George Bush was the slime-iest fucker to ever preside over this great country. Hunter Thompson was a patriot in every sense of the word, forget the tea party. They are the "jesus freaks" he was reffering to, when he said they demonized the word "liberal". Oh so true. RIP.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Brilliant upload . . . I still think he was murdered.

  • What is the date of this interview?

  • @misterrabbi Its in the description but I guess I'll just put it here : Australian Broadcasting Corporation 6:15am - Thursday 29 August 2002.

  • @misterrabbi I hear this interview a couple of months after Sept 11, 2011. As far as I can remember. HST was murdered. Period.

  • @dav0113 You trollin. I request your evidence for murder.

  • @misterrabbi He should have stayed around, he would have been a great asset in american politics today, but he made his choice........67 is good with his lifestyle anyways.....one of the best american writers ever.......

  • At 9:40 or so Hunter mentions the now liar, Bill Maher, calling the the 911 hijackers cowards. The there was this big out cry about Maher describing them that way. Well, first thing that comes to mind is the arrogant Israeli jews who were behind 911 appears to have been insulted being called cowards. And since the media is all jewish own and run, they have the ability to carry this issue to a high level. Its like the attack was a religious event for these fucking bastards. Watch War By Deception

  • Need more people like him around now. RIP

  • Absolute truth!
