I can answer your question. It sounds nothing like a sitar at all. It sounds like a a really crappy flanger. I'll check out your other video to hear it without the fuzz though.
Does it sound like a Sitar? I don't know, but I like what I hear. Now imagine Christopher Walken saying that. now imagine Walken saying everything he said...LMAO
I just got outbid on an ebay auction. Should have checked YouTube first. This is a terrible pedal. Yuck! It sounds nothing like a sitar. And nothing like a guitar. Awful and hideous.
It's good for electro, experimental, or noise. It's more for sonic textures than for actual music. I mix it up with a lot of other effects, fuzz pedals and delays. I use it on keyboards and drum machines. The worst thing about it is the fact that as soon as it's turned on, the signal gets super weak and quiet. That's why, in the video, I have to augment it with a fuzz pedal. I would not recommend using it in a live setting!
The problem with the Swami is it's wildly limited and has such a radical signature it can only be used ONCE. It's cool, it's insane, how it got green lit I'll never know, but it's the kind of gimmick pedal where you really can't dip into it very often without getting a diminished return. Just my 2cents. Fun vid.
i thought this pedal were a clean-sitar em emulator... but it's like a tube-twist distorted noisy trinket how disappointing T_T

All I hear is overdriven flange.

I know where I can get one of these right now, but that sweep is so dominant...
What were your settings on the french toast? I've seen your other video, and the swami seems to have some fuzz built in. Is that your experience?

This might sound better with a higher end octave/fuzz with the gain turned back.

It's like a bit-crusher tremelo crazy weirdo thing.
And than it also sounds like a sitar, of course.
(I'm writing this as I'm watching by the way.)
Would be nice if you could mess with the speed and intensity.
