We must have done over 200 Rumba shows and I must say Ottmar Liebert was the most requested out of all comparable artists. My guitar buddies play flamenco so they obviously look down on Ottmar but I always admired him for his originality and song writing.

People shouldn't compare this with Flamenco: sometimes it's nice to have some easy music that doesn't demand 100% attention. This guy is a very good guitarist, but one can be a worse guitarist who plays better music with more feeling.

Anyway, I miss the singing, of which I understand barely a word - the feeling still gets across.

People: if you haven't heard real flamenco, treat yourself to some of the Montoya Family videos, or the "juerga flamenca" ones - all here on youtube. Don't miss it.
