No painting, no fresco. It is a miniature taken from the Vaclav Bible of the 14th century, the very first translation from Latin to German, more than 150 years before Martin Luther. Don`t hesitate to ask if you want to know more. Vaclav was king of the Romans and emperor of the Holy Roman empire from 1378 to 1400.
