good on ya little mate. I am 43 years old and i have been doing this since i was your age to. I read all the comments just ignore the ones that are a bit freaky hey., I can write, talk and read backwards everyone seems to have their own opinion on the right way to do it. I think we just have a kind of photographic memory where we can see the word in our minds so its easier to read it when you can do that. People that cant do it just cant visualise the words. Keep it up cheers :)

This is not talking backwards, this is pronouncing words forwards if they were spelt backwards. Talking backwards is extremely difficult because you have to emulate the sound of the letters backwards. Its almost like learning to speak again

Well, actually he's just doing something different. They would both be talking backwards. What you're talking about is the phonetic form, but my son does a more visual form, based on how the words look, not necessarily how they sound. He's a good reader!
