I bought my copy of The Singles yesterday, and I think I listened to "Yellow Halow" and "Melancholy Sky" around 10 times last night. They might be my favorite 2 Goldfrapp songs, to date. It took me until this past summer to decide to explore Goldfrapp, and it was one of the best choices of my life. These 2 new songs, in particular, truly feel like Life funneled into Music. I get emotional just thinking about it.

I'm glad Goldfrapp came out with a new song. "Headfirst", her last album, wasn't release long ago but I kept needing Goldfrapp songs out of the other boring selections of music. Goldfrapp breaks the boundaries of music and managed to stay fresh in music unlike most of her contemporaries. I don't like "Headfirst" a lot but it's still enjoyable. In "Yellow Halo", I can hear she is edging closer for the approach "Seventh Tree" which I love so much! <3

Just because they steal doesn't necessarily mean the music can't be interesting, sonically pleasing, or catchy, among other things. Lady Gaga sorely lacks in originality, to me it is her weakest point. She does, however, have other stronger points. Her music is interesting and I enjoy it, albeit it is usually pretty unoriginal and manufactured at times.
