while i think this movie, and the others, are great, i never "grew up" on any of the them, i read the book, and to be honest, nothing will ever EVER come close to what the real story is. this movie did a much better job then any other to capture the humor and adventure, but failed in the way of the real story's disturbing under-tones, and Peter's truly sad but horrifying character. i love this movie, but Peter's story is the biggest tragedy to which no movie can ever do justice.
