I don't truly know what he's lying about, but he's lying about something.

I don't believe a word he says, if you listen and observe closely, he is using the "good samaritan" technique, he explains his odd (and lucky) doctors appointment, but then goes on to distract from that with how "typical" wives are, and then about how he was "visiting" his tenants.
It is clear he isn't telling something, his story is too convenient.
Easy to check whether or not he did in fact have an appointment that day. Track down his dermatologist and see or not he did in fact have an appointment on that day. Also, find out if in fact Larry has seen a dermatologist on previous occasions or if he still does. Does he have a skin condition? Conan O'brien is perhaps the world's whitest person on the planet, does he see a dermatologist?
One of the first things Larry does for his "tenents" is to meet the people that are going to be killed later on. I wish I had a landlord like Larry. People have got to be thrilled to rent new space from Larry. I know people are dying to get into the newly built building 7. Larry is such a great tennent. Who wouldn't want this guy to be your landlord. Good job Larry. Glad you and your family lucked out and picked the perfect day to not go to work. Your the luckiest guy alive and made billions.
