HIM>Metallica. Simple. It maybe slower and more romantic but Gas could beat the shit out of Lars on drums any day. Same with Linde VS Kirk Hammet. Easy win. James has also lost his voice completely compared to Ville. PLUS they have a fucking keyboarder. Only the bass player does more impressive things with Metallica so it's HIM 4, Metallica 1.

Basically, it is indeed true that some Metallica fans can be very rude and yet beyond the borderline of narrow-mindedness, but I don't reckon that it is Metallica what pushed them to behave such ways, it's rather their hatred towards that high-pitched sugar-voiced crooner called Ville Valo. I personally like both bands and consider them or their music to have deeply acted as a huge impact on raising my spirits and I merely can't take it out for granted.

Wishbone, I don't think so. Metallica are decent folk I believe. But sometimes there are bad bookings. Remember before Matt Tuck's op, BFMV were booked to support Metallica not Machine Head. And they're somewhere in the middle.

OK, I can see there's some bitterness here! I am one of those rare creatures who adores both HIM and Metallica. I wish the Metallica fans would just be polite. Ville Valo loves Metallica and HIM were really chuffed to be supporting them so it must have been very demoralising. Also, the sound for the support bands was rubbish in comparison to Metallica (compare on one of my vids), and the video screens weren't used at all, so the experience wasn't as good as it should have been.
