Anyone happen to know the results of the Create A Villain Contest from the cereal commercial? I want to believe that some 6-year-old came up with Bane.
Boomerang & The Hub are not open to many people. I wish the networks would have retro Saturdays. Their line up now is awful. Anything they remake is terrible, and the new stuff is just a disappointment. Fans should not be apathetic & write in continually to these networks requesting retro shows back in certain timed blocks. My Nephews love my 80s DVDs, and stream 80s toons on Netflix. "TV Land" could have a Retro Saturday or CN. They're cable too but more available than The Hub or Boomerang.
@hootyhaha years ago, TV Land did once do a retro Saturday. They put on only the cartoons that were linked to shows they already had, like Star Trek the animated series from the 70s, Fonz and the Happy Days Gang, Laverne and Shirley in the Army, and The Brady Kids.
@hootyhaha LOL don't feel too bad. When I say years ago, I mean before DVD recorders were out... I'm thinkng either 99 or 2001ish, back when TV Land was fresh off the block.
@youngrebels75 Heck man I'd just get out the VHS recorder. That's what I do now. I dump all my VHS recordings from the 80s and 90s to DVD, and upload little clips to my youtube page. You might get a kick out of some of them. They're not toons, they're just a few show clips. Mainly the Jim J. Bullock show, Joe Bob Briggs, some commercials, clips from I Love The 80s on VH1. Type in HootyHaHa's Flashbacks and you'll get the results. Sorry to VSN411, I don't mean to spam here LOL :)
@MrTripp1977 Just on Saturday mornings. But I still miss the 80s, the commercials were even funner. As of today the commercials are awful. Well I do like the GEICO and just a few, but I still think the 80s commercials were way better.
@chipdrusano I remember the summer before first grade coloring the picture on the back of one of the boxes and my mother sending it in. It took forever, but I got my puffy stickers, lol. Good times :o)
Nice to know M&M's characters weren't always stuck up and sarcastic!
