I got rid of my africans and they killed off the suckers(pleco). They had more babies and had about 8 left from that batch, they had more while taking care of the 8, but they only lasted a day before they were all gone. I now have moved the 8 to their own tank and they had new babies the other day. The 8 are doing really good by themselves. Is there a sucker I can put with them they won't kill? The 8 have really grown since I moved them to their own tank a couple of weeks ago.
hey nice tank my question is wht will you fry look like this last week my white convict witch is a female no more then 2" long had babies swiming around just noticed them today i moved them to a seperate tank but to be honest i didnt know convicts could have babies at such a young age i just bout 4 white baby convicts aweek ago and now today i discover babies the male is a 4" black convict so weird but please help wht should i feed them fry
My largest pink male breed with my largest female and hatched their babys, but the all got ate, then he breed with my smaller female and they all got ate also.lol I'm thinking of getting rid of a few of my other fish so that my babies have a better chance of making it.
I have two pink convicts showing signs of mating and I was wondering if I should remove my sucker fish. Will the sucker fish eat the eggs? The convicts chase off every other fish in the tank, but the sucker fish.
@kilburn1982 he might but they are good parents and im sure plenty will survive, and if not they will still breed like crazy, ull see wat i mean once they reproducing
I just bought two (male and female) pretty large, maybe 3in black convicts from a LFS with the intention of breeding them. They've been together for maybe a week, and right away the male was doing all the dancing and showing and stuff, trying to attract her. I transported them to a bigger tank where theyw ould be exclusive for breeding, but it seems now that there is no interest between the two? They really don't even eat either, they just hide, any tips?

@kilburn1982 Don't your parents take care of the fry? They usually do.
