When I was little, whenever I was ill and my mum went out to run errands, I would always switch from the typical early-morning kids television programmes to this, ER. I always felt like I was stealing away a little piece of inspiration. And to the first episode of the last season, I sobbed like a baby and when I asked my mum why I had, she put it simply "...because it's ER"; and that immediately felt like a surreal rite of passage.
I don't remember Mark Greene ever having a cellphone!!!!! He is one of the greatest character. I think ER died with him and did not become as good as show as it was. He is set the tone for the entire ER.... The last episode 'On the Beach' is one of the most touching episodes that I have watched.
I was a fan (and still am thanks to DVD) of this show since the pilot. When it first aired, I was only 9 at the time and was absolutely in love with the series. One of the hardest things to watch was Mark lose his battle to cancer in Season 8. Mark Greene was the heart of ER and when he passed it was difficult to continue on watching without him. There was some solace to be found with "Heal Thyself" it was a great way to say goodbye to Mark the way we remember him as a doctor in the ER.
Mark greene was one of the best charachters. I hated that all the orginal charachters left. Without the orginal charachters er didint feel the same anymore.
@fireflygon21 i kno wat u mean, ive been hesitant to continue buying the seasons bc i kno they all leave :( i have 1-6 right now...please tell me it gets alittle better? haha (even tho i own 1-6 i have seen the sad eppys like when mark dies or when carter gets attacked..and the happy ones when we see doug and carol again)
@chrrycke04 it does get better. enough to keep you watching. i think season fifteen is one of the best since the original runs, but in order to understand the emotion and the motives behind each character's penultimate exit or storyline closure, you'd need to follow the series. honestly, i love this show, and after greene's death i felt like there was little to stick with, but neela's storylines (although destructive) made me love the show again.
@jbcaballerotalentoso Romano, in the process of transporting a patient (Season 9, Episode 1: Chaos Theory), had his arm cut off by a helicopter blade. Although re-attached, he lost feeling in the arm and could not perform surgery. So he had his arm removed.. Finally, in the episode "Freefall," Romano, after having a panic attack after seeing the helicopter on the roof of the E.R., runs down to get some air in the courtyard, Unfortunately, the helicopter crashes on him. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED.
it was funny, cause after mark and kerry and jerry appeared, i was like, "the only thing that would make this episode even better is if rocket romano came charging through those doors."

@Lazar3615 Nothing can replace ER. It's far the best medical drama. Grey's Anatomy sucks ass.

Why would Romano care if he went up there or not lol? I understand that he should go up there but why would they also get mad at Romano?
