  • Blessings Arch Bishop Blake. Thank you for providing this lovely Mass for those who can not attend services otherwise. May your path bring peace to yourself and to all those who you touch. Jesus smiles down upon your loving heart.

  • @ElizabethMcNally13 Thank you. The world is desperate for love.

  • I am not trying to prevent you from forgiving, I'm just saying that you should remove the beam from your own eye before you start trying to remove the moat from mine, recognise your own sin then you will have the right to forgive. You should be able to recognise that as a man who claims to be a Christian minister. Or if you cannot recognise your own sin at least be civil and polite with me and please be reasonable, by associating me with the inquisition you under-value those crimes

  • @pax516 Christians need to be forgiven for having made the faith of Jesus Christ exclusive and elitist. Please address this major scandal.

  • You have no right to forgive until you have admitted your own fault. You really make me sick, because even though you have offended me I still care for your salvation.

  • @pax516 A curious argument - a Christian trying to prevent another from forgiving?

  • How dare you associate my reasonable objection to this this video and my true desire for you to come to the truth through reason with the horrors of the inquisition. You should be ashamed for making such an accusation, but what can I expect, liberals like you are far gone from reason. You are a degenerate.

  • @pax516 I forgive your abuse.

  • And you think you speak for Christ? A heretic, schismatic and authority on the theology of Jade goody. I don't mean to be too personal, but you are in error and I only say this because I love you and I want you to come to acknowledge the truth. Cease this error and come to truth, Christ is the truth and he has left true doctrine in scripture and tradition, interpreted by reason. Pax.

  • @pax516 The torturers of the inquisition adminstered pain and death 'out of love'. Yes, Christ is the Truth. I am humbled that I know him and love him and believe he loves me. I desire only to make his love available to everyone as he bids me do. I am not interested in stealing him away for the few.

  • This is not sectarianism, it is just Christianity, the church catholic is headed by, led by and governed by her bishops, who should be learned men with orthodox faith who know how the truth of the faith should be believed. Sectarianism rises when individuals abuse their intellectual freedom and try to subvert truth because it suits them.

  • @pax516 Ironical that your description of who should lead the church doesn't fit Jesus, whereas he might well say your description of sectarianism does fit the power brokers within denominational Christianity.

  • Actually i meant that interpretation of doctrine is not inclusive, it is for the whole church represented by her bishops to interpret doctrine, it is not up to a single cleric or lay person, that is the nature of Christianity, it is what Christ and the fathers taught, that is how the church functions. Any other concept of interpreting doctrine may have its place, but it is not Christian.

  • @pax516 Your phrase 'its not up to' is significant as is your phrase, 'it is for the whole church'. You have clear inclusive tendencies but keep being tempted away into sectarianism. Let's settle with 'the whole' and we may be near Christ.

  • I am fully aware of shameful elements of the church's past, so don't try to be clever it obviously doesn't suit you. No one can corrupt the trinity itself but heretics can corrupt the idea by the removing the description Christ gave. Calling God father is not idolatry, is was how Christ and the fathers addresssed him and it was only pagans who called their idols 'mother'. The message of Christ is inclusive in that it is for all, the interpretation is, however, not inclusive.

  • @pax516 I'm heartened that you agree Christ's message is inclusive and equally heartened that you agree that the 'interpretation' placed upon it by the church is exclusive. Hopefully you will then support our Christ centred vision of making Christ available to all.

  • What a shameful and wicked abomination this is, how dare this man corrupt the liturgy of the church and the trinity and the fatherhood of God in such a way. He is a false bishop with false orders, nothing but a failed ex-curate.This seems to resemble a piece of satire, intended to mock the church and the liturgy, how terrible it is that he takes himself seriously (I presume he does anyway).

  • @pax516 Perhaps you are not aware of the atrocities committed around the world including by the church. If you were, you may have been reticent to ascribe this description to liturgy. Strange too that you think that anyone can 'corrupt the Trinity'. Cementing God into 'fatherhood' alone is idolatry. Better my friend to hear the inclusive invitation of Christ.

  • May almighty God, the Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier?

This has a very modalistic feel to it.

  • All language is limited hence the need to be lateral and comprehensive in its use.

  • Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also God.

Yet your Gloria seems to indicate that God is only the Father and that the Son and Holy Spirit are separate from God.

    This is very confused theology.

  • Would be interested if you could suggest alternative words as none of this is the intention.
