@sarahmcmitch well, no it shouldn't. It's LOVE rescue me just as written and sung, since it was co-written by Bono and Dylan. Don't turn it into a religious thing. Bono contributed the song to the Playing for Change project which is all about bringing people together with music regardless of background, politics OR religion and in fact is sung by the Omagh Youth Choir made up of Protestant and Catholic kids all affected by the horrific terrorist bombing of their town.
