he executed her bescause the reason for Lady Zhen's death was that she carried on an affair with Cao Pi's brother Cao Zhi -- a speculation not supported by evidence. Some more fantastical accounts alleged that she had an affair with his father Cao Cao as well.

He made her commit suicide because there was the rumour that Cao Rui was not Cao Pi's son. that she was already pregnant from her first husband the son of Yuan Shao. Cao Rui was born only 8 months after Cao Pi married with her so it can be true. We will never know
