Also, I forgot to specify that I can also remember the japanese expressions easily, and I guess, languages that have tones are hard to learn for us, 'caus we have not the habit of it, and we really have to accustom our mind to this other way of expression, speaking, learning and reading, that's why it's really hard if we don't get used to it (not sure "get used to" is the right expression here, since i'm not an english native speaker)! Cantonese and the language of Honk-Kong are not learnable languages lol o o!! It's just too hard, as vietnamese XD, I can only remember a few mandarine things for now lol, the tones kill me, but even if there is no tones in korean, it's still as difficult for me to remember the vocabulary and grammar. For japanese, I can really quite remember the vocabulary well and some grammar stuff etc, maybe because I like it a lot, I don't know. But I find, it's still a hard language to learn anyway,..

I guess he could be. But notice he says "Ho xiong" (or Haoxiang in Mandarin). While grammatically "Ho xiong" is correct, spoken Cantonese uses "Ho chee" instead of "Ho xiong"

i noticed that, too. Could that be more mainland than HK? Mainlanders sometimes use a word that's common in Mandarin (but not Cantonese) and just give it a Cantonese pronunciation. For example, I've heard 怎麼樣 as "jammoyeung" rather than

點樣 "dimyeung" from a young HKer whose ex-boyfriend was a mainlander. So far I haven't heard any regular HKers say this in everyday spoken Cantonese.
