Reminds me of as a kid, found a unspent 22 cal bullet, removed the lead, and the gunpowder, wondered what would happen if I hit the primer with a hammer, think I still hear ringing in my ears.
@hummer3d3d I dropped the rail on it as i was running away. I got drunk once and hit it with a sledge hammer. It made my pant legs move lol. That was dumb lol
@fluoridekid I shot it with a .22 and it only pops where the bullet hit. unless you hit it with a slug it wont make a big boom. Has to have pressure hit the whole thing at once.
You're the only guy i know who has railroad track at the house to try it.A dentist could use those to remove teeth.Just bite down on it and kick em in the jaw! Them cows aren't too brite.I thought they would jump in the air.No wonder you can tip them over!LOL!
@farmall51 They would put them on the rails to warn trains to stop. Like if they were shoveing cars in a track and they heard it they would know its far enough to stop. And in emergencies if you ran over them you need to stop. Back before the radio days.
SWEET!!!

Be careful. You might get hurt and have to get on disability. Then you can become a full time detectorist.

You're right, the home is not the place to try this. However, the woods, a suitable tree and a gun or two... goes off with a bang just nicely :) :D

reminds me of a potato cannon we made. after we got done playing with lighter fluid then gasoline as a propellant we decided to try oxyacetylene....
My neighbors knew right where to come after the explosion, you would think they would be use to it by now... ;-)
