Secondly, there are highlights of good plays from the Slovenian team, so I dont really understand why you hating so hard. Finally, for a team of guys who go together for maybe 4 practices TOPS before this i think they held their own decently against a team who has been training for months and maybe years

haha i was on this team (#5) and yes we were being completely obnoxious and have a great time. it was just a volleyball game. this was the fourth time we played this team we won the first three and lost this match. our setter vince is insanely good. by far the best setter i was played with. just watch his hands throughout the video.
thats vince almatura. he goes to Mira Costa high school. we traveled there from San dego to play them. they destroyed us. Vince is going to set at USC. he is the best high school setter i have seen.
what impressed me is the blue setter's hand reflex. he's putting balls wherever he wants with his arms almost fully extended. does a great job of making up the height difference

Just for reference, SoCal is much bigger than Slovenia in population and size. Wikipedia guesses that Slovenia has about 2 million people. LA has that many by itself. If there were a region of Europe that was comparable in size, then that would be a little more fair.

I'm an American and I also think this is a cocky team that is just being obnoxious. I don't mind emotion as long as it is for true passion of competition and the game, but these guys are milking their celebrations to show up their opponents and to be obnoxious. It disappoints me that they represented their country as such.

but the thing about cheering like that is that its a good strategy (if you want to call it that). my team cheers sort of like that because the louder and more annoying you are the more you get into the other teams head. if you keep doing that then the other team will get frustrated and keep making mistakes until they fall apart. Also the cheering gets them really pumped so they dont make as many mistakes or when they do they dont care as much. also im american so thats why they do it
I hate teams that celebrate like that..though I played in HS so it was expected I suppose..then I play for San Gabriel club..we did pretty good..and I was pleased..and then in the Vegas Tournament my HS team played against some jerk off team and we won that..but after they told us we got lucky..strange I scored 4 important points..oh well..one more thing..I've watched Olympic Volleyball..and man do those players hit and jump through the roof!
The americans are annoying. Its good to celebrate after you win a point but not by sprinting off around the court looking stupid. The americans setting was pretty to watch though.

The players on the Slovenian team were all around 17. The Socal team was 18 and under, so i guess if you want to make a big deal about age thats what you need to know
