  • what frequenz would have a i5 760 ????(mhz-frequenz)

    a i5 750 has 3209mhz

    please write back

  • Does it have hdmi

  • im a little late on the comments but i recommend not using the OC button. it OVER volts your CPU making it hotter and possibly killing your CPU. Of course when you're overclocking you need an after market fan! bios overclocking is the way to go. i have had this board for almost a year now and im running my i5 @3.8GHz at 27c idle and 45c on full load. prime tested for 24 hours. its a great board. ALWAYS do bios overclocking.

  • @LetterKilled yea agreed :D. People never make a mistake of not using bios.

  • Okay... so what is the difference between i5 and i7? :S (about to buy a new laptop)

  • Why is this more expensive than the MSI P55A-G55? The P55A-G55 even has 2 usb 3.0 slots.

  • from this msi board after turn on SATA3 & USB3 will reduce single PCI-E 16x to 8x

    yes or not??

  • LOL so many ways to overclock it. its not funny

  • terrific board

and terrific terrific explanation of this excellent board.

  • 1.4 volts for only 3.3 Ghz, I can overclock manually to 3.3 without raising any voltages on this board. Do not use the OC GENIE! It is really unstable, just manually overclock trust me on this one guys.

  • Hey PcWizKid i need your opinion on this: I wanna run 5770 in crossfire with an i5 760.. i would overclock if it'S safe in terms of durable.. (so i think 4x 3,0ghz is okay for that) the cpu has to last at least 2 years, so which board would you rather recommand, the asus p55 pro or this MSI board for that setup?

  • wow nice board mm this is to easy to overclock its like the old days use the "turbo" bottum on you pc case and it runs faster lol.

  • Great, all we need now is these overclocking features on the outside of a case.

  • @Holidats ..How hard is it to press a button on your board? it literally took me 5 seconds and i'm getting 3.6 GHz on my i5 760 now.. lol

  • PCWizKid,

I wish I would have seen your video while I was doing my research on components, the nice part is I seem to have picked the right component :)

As for this video there is something that isn't clear yet. You activate OC Genie, boot, run cpu-z and as it run, while oc genie is enabled, you press the + button?

So the two features run in conjunction?

    very nice review btw

  • ive got the P55a-ud3 mother board with core i5 750 and i am thinking of overclocking the cpu from 2.67 to 3.0 if possible what my question is, if i can..

i have a Coolermaster HAF932 and my cpu cooler is Arctic cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2

  • @dragonrow3 easily :D

  • wow amazing board im a noob at overclocking so this board would be good for me lol

  • im using the i5 750 Msi p55 and its amazing using a single 5770,

1 press on the button overclock

Oc Genie what els do we need...

    10/10

  • Hey I have this board and I want to know what cooler will keep my 97-860 the coolest thats on the market, and that will FIT this board...thanks!

  • is the second pci-e x16 also? I like to put my fermi 470 closer to the bottom where a 120mm fan is installed for additional airflow for the card.

  • is this board for ati or nvidia?

  • @1337manne Its for Both

  • @PCWizKid nice and i can have 3 way sli?

  • @1337manne lol wtf?

  • The motherboard Users Manual tells that , MB is supporting 1.5 V on the Ram. But the new Kingston 2x2GB CL9 1600mhz Kit is working 1.7-1.9V - Thoes Rams will work ???

    Ty.

  • Hey PCWizKid um, what voltages did you use to get 4ghz stable? Thx

  • is it worth having 2x ATI HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 in CF on this with i5 on 2.66GHz

or should i go for 2x5850/5870 in CF?

  • Got asus sabertooth 55i motherbord btw

  • @NuggetKGB In my opinion the best bang for the buck is 2x5850 in CF

  • max 16GB of DDR3. i see that ist 4 places that fitts DDR3,

    should i buy 2 x 8GB, or 4 x 4GB??

  • @shadow9702

i dont think they have 8gb dims

    4 x 4gb ram is crazy i have

4 x 2gb ram and its plenty actually more than plenty i never use over 6gb

    max is 5.5 gb

  • My GD80 gives 3.578Ghz, depends on memory & hardware what you get

  • awesome board... dont know too much about overclocking via bios but the oc geniue and the push button over clock seems like the way to go! stoked to see a core i7 on this beast.. ill keep looking for the video post

  • Will x8 x8 crossfire bottleneck two 5850's?

  • hi PCWizKid , will two HD 5770 run in crossfire at 16x and 16x ? if they'll run at 8x and 8x will there be any decrease in performance ? thank you =)

  • @cjpalmi8 It depends on the motherboard you get. Most likely you will get a motherboard that will run them at x16 and x8.

  • sorry, I didn't express myself right ... i meant on the MSI P55-GD80 ?

  • Can I use Coolermaster V8 on Core i5 and with this board???

  • what were the black slots that were next to the firewire support???

  • @jcar004, those are the CD Audio In

  • excuse me but what voltage power supply should i be using if i have this main board, a i5 750 cpu a hd 5850 grapics card?

  • i've got this mobo with an overclocked i7 860 and a hd5870 and i'm using a 680 watt psu. so i guess 500-600 watts should pretty much be enough for you.

  • im thinking of getting this one but i dont want to spend to much on a core I7 right now i have a q9550 which is working great for me! but i am still thinking of getting this board and a I7!

  • @blackendheart1s, i would say wait until you really need to upgrade, because the i7 prices and p55 mobo prices are destined to drop.

  • q9550 is piece of .....

  • wth its practicly better then i i7 more mb cache

  • does this have built in wifi?

  • 380GX2 pned

  • what is dual ethernet do?

  • @124Z312, if you have a new router that supports Dual lan, it can speed up your UP/Download speeds

  • thank you very mutch

  • Excuse me, but what kind of cooling you are using there?

    Thanks, PBskill

  • @Bskill, I will make a video about it for you its the F101 GlacialTech

  • Thanks, tommorow i'm getting my CoreI5 parts. Im going to be using Corsair Dominator, CoreI5 750, MSI P55-GD65 and the Xigmatek Balder. Finnaly replacing my good old Q6600 (Went to 4Ghz on air with that beast).

  • I ve seen the CoolMaster V8 cooler in some of his videos regarding the Processors

  • so does overclokcing increase the speed of ur computer and CPU?

  • @skokaa yes it does increase speed

  • PcWizKid I was wondering if you recommend the MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 Board? Thanks.

  • I WANT IT!!!!

  • best board i've seen

  • Slick setup.

  • good!

  • Kid whats the best way to contact you for help or do you even do that. I'm just curious.

  • lmao mobo is best look on market for pp55 that for sure. Dont think its worth it though. I mean its literaly cost mroe than x58 boards.

    Defeats the purpose honestly

  • Thanks OMG insane i will get this freak and a bit cheap

  • Gief :P

  • This mobo is amazing! I own it and love it!

It has it all. Great mobo from MSI. Top notch!

I have it paired up with my core i5.

  • i just got a techboner watching this.

  • It's not funny...lol

  • Cool video! That is 1 AWESOME mobo! 5/5

  • the most amazing mobo ive seen

  • im mixed. I love Intel CPUs and AMD GPUs. mainly for the wide selection of intel motherboards, and the GPU bang/buck. got Q9550/5870

  • I'm an AMD user. I've always built and bought AMD computers but the Intel i5's are the shiznit son! Good move from Intel, actually thinking about consumers who don't have deep pockets even though it's still a little more compared to the flagship of AMD. Good job...

  • HOLY SHIT, this motherboard is insane.

  • :O its very shiney...this would be a nice christmas present...for me...>.>

  • could you do a reveiw on this Motherboard

    Manufacturer: Asus

    Motherboard Name: A8N-LA

  • this thing OWNZ! lol!

  • when do we get to see your face?? :)

  • Probably... LOL

  • Either this or the P6T-SE, hard to decide.

  • Also, how would this run on the i7 920

  • No, i7 920 is socket 1366, not 1156.

  • Nice video.

  • many MSI motherboards are made for overclocking like this and what i have (MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum)

  • NICEEE!

  • nice motherboard, great review. keep em coming!

  • Wow. If this is USB 3.0, this will be my next board. But sadly, this isn't.

  • Excellent review. I'll put it on my xmas list.

  • I really want that board, but i went with the amd 955

  • It doesn't have tri SLI or Crossfire support, just DUAL!

  • Well, the P55 chip only haves 16 lanes of PCIe 2.0, thats why dual, for the 8x/8x, since triple would be 8x/4x/4x and itd be CRAP

  • Which idiot here uses triple SLI / CF anyways? It's useless just like dual , just buy a damn new card =/

  • are you kidding? have u not seen the benefits for SLI/CF???

  • Yes but why 3 cards? Aren't 2 enough? Are there even boards that have x16 * 3 ?

  • 3 cards does, in fact, provide a benefit... obviously not as much as adding a second card does, as programs (any of them) are not really made around taking advantage of the power of 3 cards these days. so the program, if you will, used the 3rd (or 4th) card on instinct; its optimized a tiny bit, but not by much. you WILL see a performance boost, say in crysis, but it won't nearly be as close as what you would see if you add a 2nd card.

    (next post)

  • (continued...)

hard to say this with crysis, what with the new 5870s, and 5970s; just one 5870 will play crysis at around 40-50 fps even with 4x aa to 8x aa, even more so with the dual gpu 5970... but you know what i mean.

regarding the board. i have seen, i think, evga, put out a board with 3 pci-e 2.0 slots that will run at x16 x16 x16. i think it was an x58 board, socket lga1366... i dont think im wrong, but if i am i know they have a 7 pci-e board in the works, and at least 3 will do x16.

  • There's one that has 5.

  • DarkMX1000 does

    He's not an idiot

  • it has tri way.... 3:37

  • $209, not bad at all.

  • good looking motherboard with good features

  • very nice board i like the colour on that board

  • ogod

  • will overclocking require more power?

  • Yes OC will require more power to run, great vid once again

  • Yes

  • cool

  • That is so EASY to overclock!!!

  • he dont sound young, only sound like he talk with his nose :P gr8 tutorials btw! always enjoy getting up to date.

  • Now that's how OC should be done in every mobo. :D

  • nice video but can i ask u has your voice broke yet? u sound really young :/

  • He doesn't sound young, lol.......

  • sounds about 10 years old :S

  • He doesn't sound anywhere near 10 lmfao?

  • is the MSI P55-GD65 a good board? or the gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 iP55?

  • man this board is sooo awesome....

  • Nice video! I have GD-65 i also nice and much chaper.

  • Sorry for double posting, but I just had to.

OH MY GOD! Youtube should seriously put a filter to these f*cking one word "first" comments. Their on every vid nowadays. This isn't a race dumbasses.

  • awesome review, i will like to see some of those features for amd.

  • Those OC Genie vcore values are waaaaay higher than they need to be. Nice board though.

  • @dgbsco, it fluctuates and adjuts as the demand / load increases, it was at full load so it increases voltage

  • It's still pretty high but you can't expect it to perfect for a dummy OC button :-D

  • You said that the bigger heatpipe would cool the CPU. I think you mean the VRMs? And not the CPU?

Too expensive. The GD65 and GD55 are probably enough for almost everybody and if you are hardcore, then maybe ASUS ROG-mobos or maybe Evga FTW or Classified.

  • @videosurfer69, its related and affects both the CPU and VRM's the bottom line is the board and CPU get cooler a bit better.

  • Ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know that before :)
