  • Just curious, but why in the hell were there several ugly calf videos mixed in with the ugly baby videos?

  • @damnatureufkdup It is because of the tags.

  • shes such a cutie

  • Oh god, I thought it was a dog at first 0_o

  • its a cutie!! :P

  • Shes so cute :D

  • fat bitch

  • She is a beautiful calf.

  • shes cute not ugly

  • enyone who says this is ugly ..... YOUR MEAN! this calf is cute

  • Awwwwwww! He/She is not ugly that sweetie is Adorable!

  • its cute

  • i dnt think know what ugly is..

  • she's not ugly YOU are

  • I say, she's beautiful. :)

I do hope you don't sell you cows for meat products!

  • Aw, she needs a bonnet protect that bare skin. In fact, that would have been a good name for her: Bonnet. :)

  • She's not ugly!

  • I don't think it's ugly.. .maybe a little leggy and ungainly, 20 months later she looks alright

  • that thing is so adorable how could u say its ugly,u shouldn't like an animal for its look but for how it treats its owner of sweetness, its like these dumbasses who get fancy smancy animals i have a persian cat and she is just too quiet she hides i try to give her love but whatever,my other cats aren't like that and their not purebreads.

  • who makes a video about this

  • naw its so cute!!! how can you say its ugly!!!

  • aweh it so cute!

ubt it has a dessise or something cuz her downerarty of her body is growing normal

    but her uper half isnt

  • is a persistently infected for bvd

  • No BVD in this herd.

  • Despite the myth of contentment, a dairy cow is the hardest worked of all farmed animals. She nurtures a growing baby inside her while simultaneously producing milk - up to 120 pints a day. To keep the flow going, she is forcibly impregnated every year and her babies are taken away a day or two after birth year, after year.

  • You really should stop talking. The shit flowing out of your mouth is fouling up the comments section. I can't tell if that's your ass or your head.

  • @madtyper well actually cows don't take on stress during milking and maternity if they are fed properly and looked after. cows come into heat because their bodies can handle a pregnancy (so it is not "forcibly" impregnated as you say). it is simply natural

  • Ugly?

    Cute!

  • Cute!

  • i see the video 20 mths. later, but will you keep her? or will she go to slaughter someday?

  • it's adorable!! i bet you know that! :) and is it around, with mom, being so darn cute? let us know! show the calf with mom, alot of people will watch!!

  • I don't think it is ugly at all. hope it's still with it's mother.

  • THAT IS SO UNFAIR WE SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT IT IS ALIVE

    ffs

it is adorable nd ma mate finx so to

yuu lot are just jelous that it looks better then yuu! and that it willl get more boy/girl friends then yuu!

  • i think it looks cute

  • its amzing! Ha.. i think it looks like a dog =)

  • oh yes ill have some corned beef hash for tea

  • I think she's beautiful :D

  • FAIL!

I'd make dinner of that one in no time flat!!

  • Veal? Yuck!

  • that cow does look strange

Dont worry about that VeganButterfly. She's just another one of those vegan peta animal rights idiots who wants everyone to adopt to her standards. Keep doing what you're doing. Those narrow minded peta activists need to go suck a ****.

  • @MEC316 How? I don't see how the cow looks different, besides maybe color and the legs?

  • ugly? its adorable!

  • aww i think shes cute ^^

  • i think it's cute...

  • She doesn't look to bad, and from the other vids of her she turned out rather well. Quite some time ago I had the same problem with a Gurt heifer, she was born normal and her hair just fell out! All of it! Accept for her tail hairs and the little fuzz on he belly and her legs she was completely bald. Fortunately for us, being she was Santa Gertrudis, she had dark skin and did not sunburn. Her hair grew back but it was wiry and kinky the weirdest thing I have seen in any breed.

  • dats sick and cruel u should be ashamed of urself take that off.

  • Make me take it off! It isn't my fault she was born the way she was. Don't like it? Click on the X in the upper right hand corner!

  • alright i must have got the wrong idea about why you put it on youtube i thought you were trying to make fun of the cow i guess i was wrong i apolagise i take back what i said

  • ITS SOOOOO CUTE whem im older i want a pig and a cow as pets :D

  • OK THAT CALF IS NOT UGLY SHE IS SO CUTE! I lost one of my calves in a snow storm this spring, poor thing was trampled right into the ground:(

  • hey did she calve yet? was her calf hairless... i love strange calves u end up gettin attached to them n they b ocme more special than the rest.. dont no bout the cross breedin i love my pure holstein n have 1 very spoiled jersey heifer.. lookin forward to breedin her... but deffo not holstein x jersey!!!

  • that really mean he can't help it. grow up its just a cow

  • you have to be doing something wrong

all your cows are fucked up

  • No, 99.9% of things around here are quite normal. I like to video the strange and unusual things that I don't normally get to see.

  • ugh...thats not ugly..its so cute,,,its still a baby.

  • one ugly cow

  • that's really cute, i want it :) the tail is so cute reminds me of a dogs. very cute indeed!

  • Aw, I think it's really cute.

  • its cute!

  • Ok ok i belive you. but im like old school even tho im 18 hahaa

  • I'm still not 100 percent sold on crossbreeding even though I have been doing it for at least 10 years. We have an embryo flush program here and If it doesn't work out then I will use them as full time recipients. So far it has been working out well with the ones that we have done. The x-breds have virtually no problems with calving.

  • aw thats so cute

  • I just posted the video of her calf.

  • We would normaly put calves down that where hydrocephaly or anything else like that i know it seems bad but the health problems that they have its not really worth saving and being a top cow breeding farm whe ppl come to see are animals we dont really want them to see animals like this... so you guys crossbreed how is that working out for you not as good and the pure bloods right haha

  • Honestly, only 7 percent of our herd is crossbred. They don't have the health problems like the purebreds. The Montbeliarde breed has had no DAs recorded on 1 million head. The Scandinavian Reds avg 1.6 services per conception. A reality!

  • Her face is kinda homely, but her colors are cute and she has a spunky personality!

  • I have posted another video of her almost grown up. She does look a bit better now.

  • I think she has hydrocephaly. Good she is still alive

  • No, she was just odd looking when she was born. Calves born with hydrocephaly wouldn't survive.

  • ITS CUTE!

  • How is that ugly?

  • How is she doing ? Hope you make another video when she calves in Febuary. Will she be 22 month old in Feb 08 ?

  • She is doing well. I missed my opportunity to get video of her at the pasture. I had just taken on of her today.

  • I intend to another video of her soon. She is on a 250 acre mountain pasture about a mile from the main farm. She is still rather ugly.

  • eww thats ugly but kinda cute the same time lol, why do ppl cross breed why b/c u coulds get this great looking animal and o yea she not pure holstein and u cant show her in the holstein clases but i fyour in it for just milk well then i bet its good. out here in caanda our better fat hit the roof and all the jersy farmers are loving it bastards but cute video

  • Only 8% of our herd of pure blood Holsteins are crossbreds. What I'm looking for is hybrid vigor. The hybrids have much less health problems than pure bloods.

  • there nothin ugly about it

  • sHE shoUlD bE tHE worLd`S CUTEST caLf

  • I have used Norwegian Red semen on my holsteins. Hopefully i will get better longevity , milk quality ,feet and mastitis resistance - Time will tell !

Cross breeding is hot in the UK right now

  • I have about 6 Norwegian Red heifers that are all due around the Fall Sept-November. I used 10 units of Stalsmo and Svarstad. A few are 2 way crosses and the others are 3 way crosses. An article in Hoards Dairyyman mentioned that the 3rd largest breed in the US are crossbreds. That took me by suprise.

  • will be interesting to see if her calf has the same abnormality. whether it was genetic or a developmental abnormality

  • I'll find out around Feb 11th 2008. She was bred to a Swedish Red bull and is now prenant 50 days as of today.

  • so how did the calf of this calf turn out?

  • Not well at all :(

  • how so?

  • What breed is your calf

  • Montbeliarde 50% Holstein 37% and Brown Swiss 12%.

  • Montbeliarde x Holstein X Brown Swiss

  • She turned a year old yesterday on the Thursday the 12th. I will do another video within the next few months.

  • calf looks like a rat. sure you didn't shave her head? i know some of mine act like waterheads. how's her level of intelligence?

  • No, she was born an oddity. She behaves like anything like the rest of them.

  • did the cow fuck a horse or something?

  • Uh....no, some kind of genetic anomaly.

  • No matter what she/he looks like, it will end up looking better on my plate

  • She will be breeding age here in a few months. She actually grew kinky, curly hair. Strange animal.

  • I think the calf looks alot like George bush only much cuter!

  • Aww.. I think she is adorable.. Bald but adorable... I'd buy her but I have no where to keep her lol...

  • Aww...she's cute in an odd way. <3

  • The older she gets the more she looks like the rest of them. She actually has a full head of hair now.

  • For your information I´m Vegetarian now, because I saw a sacrifice and if is "kosher" or not, that´s not relevant, both hurts. Also, each time, more and more jewish people are turning to go vegetarian. There´s a clear conection between ethics and the abstention of meat ingestion.

  • the only one ugliest here is yourself...ugliest inside.

  • What are you talking about ugly on the inside? Have you ever seen a KOSHER kill? Now that's ugly!

  • For your information I´m Vegetarian now, because I saw a sacrifice and if is "kosher" or not, that´s not relevant, both hurts. Also, each time, more and more jewish people are turning to go vegetarian. There´s a clear conection between ethics and the abstention of meat ingestion.

  • So you are a vegetarian? How cute! You poor baby! Everytime I hear the word vegetarian, I also think of Democrats, liberals, wimps, and complete morons. Go preach your vegetarian garbage to starving family and tell them the benefits of eating grass on a daily basis. Maybe they will listen to you because I sure won't.

  • Dogs bark at every one they do not know. Heraclitus

  • Well duh! Who doesn't know that? Next time try to impress me.

  • REDNECK Shmendrik!

  • Your name should be hypocrites. Me a Shmendrik? Sounds like the common name for all you lame weakling vegetarians. Did you suck you thumb during your circumcision too? Redneck is no longer a derogatory name for us country folk. You have to do better than that!

  • She is doing fine. I noticed her yesterday. She is now in her own little social bovine clique. She has started to grow hair on her head. Her body in places are still hairless. Yes, I'm in Pa.

  • Aww, g'wan Cowman, she's a cute little calf, odd in her own way, but cute. How is she doing now? Is your dairy in PA? We live in PA, and our girl loves cows and wants to have a dairy farm when she grows up; we live in the city, but we've taken her to visit local dairies and she just loves it! She's always had a thing for cows.

I can tell from the area where the calf was filmed that you keep a clean place. Best of everything to you!

  • omg, poor cow

  • About how old are calves when they have their horns taken off?

  • The calves are about 8 weeks old. We have some that are naturally polled (hornless).

  • No problem, you're not butting in. I left the comments of VeganButterfly here for everyone to read her ludicrous comments. Anyway, we keep all females on the farm until there is a good reason to let them go. It is usually health related reasons. Bull calves are usually sold within a week after birth. We don't have the facilities on the farm to raise them. Also, as they get older the bull calves can grow quite dangerous.

  • sorry to butt in on your argument but I think she's cute. Do you really keep them in the herd until they're suffering? My girl's breeder has sent us a lactating cow for demonstration and then she's off the the house but she seems happy and healty?

Anyway, it's an industry for millions of people so what can you do? I <3 my calves and make sure the life they have at the farm is happy.

  • Wonder why you didnt raise this as a veal calf in a crate. Would be fun to get a cut of pink milk-fed veal from this ugly young thing.

  • If you are going to rightly insult and activist then you need to use a little intelligence and common sense first. It is what they lack.

  • thats terrible what riparshid said shud b ashamed of himself.. every animal is a living thing n shud b treated the same as if its normal.. it not a toy n just bcos it strange it shud b tortured!!! n its not ugly..

  • So you skipped my questions:

"So you don't do any branding? You don't seperate the calves from their mothers at all? You let the animals live full lives and die naturally? The calves DON'T get sold to become dairy cows, beef cows, or veal?"

  • I was replying to another one of your posts. We don't brand. We use electronic ID tags which will become a Federal law in a few years. Yes they are separted for various reasons of which most are health related such as viruses, poor colstrum, brutality from others, and many other reasons. Do the cows care? No, they know where the calves are. Cows stay in our herd until thier health fails and nothing humane can be done to keep them from suffering.

  • And what do the calves get for nourishment?

(You know the best thing to keep them from suffering? Not breeding them for exploitation and money in the first place!! *Shock!* That was easy enough wasn't it?)

  • Vegatarian meals of course! They are herbivores not carnivores.

  • Tell that to the several Billion people on this planet that depend on milk for food. Other countries besides the USA use Goat, Sheep, Water Buffalo, Reindeer, Camels, and others as a source of milk and cheese. It has been done for thousands of years.

  • Yeah I understand survival. Heck, it's okay for people to eat other people to survive. But to torture, kill, and eat others for pleasure is WRONG.

  • Just because a few bad eggs out there that torture/kill animals and people alike doesn't mean that everyone does it. Most don't. I make sure that I take care of my animals to the best of my ability. They most likely get better health care than most uninsured Americans. Now that is a slap in the face! You would be suprised how many out there love their animals.

  • So you don't do any branding? You don't seperate the calves from their mothers at all? You let the animals live full lives and die naturally? The calves DON'T get sold to become dairy cows, beef cows, or veal?

  • You can't truly love someone for WHO THEY ARE when you try to "own" them and exploit them. Animals aren't property. They own themselves.

  • Really? Have you ever had a pet? A dog, cat, or Goldfish? Did they run rampant or did you have to do things to control their behavior?

  • Yes I have a companion animal. No I don't own him.

So since people don't "own" their children, is it wrong to raise them, take care of them, and discipline them? It's called being a GUARDIAN, not an owner. My dog isn't like my stereo, I can't do whatever I want to him. He is a living FEELING being with a personality and interests all his own.

  • Does your companion animal tell you what to do? Cows aren't like steros either. They do what they want. Go to the bar after an evening milking. Watch movies, have a beer, coffee in the morning, take the calves out for ice cream...blah,blah,blah....

  • Does my companion animal tell me what to do?? What the hell does that have to do with this? Cows do what? Are you on crack??

Wow. Now you've proved enough. You are too nuts in the head to talk to.

I have better things to do.

    Have a good day.

  • I know nothing of recreational drugs. I've never seen pot. It's good that you found better things to do. I can keep this up forever. If you ever check back then put this idea in you head: GO WORK ON A FARM FOR ONE MONTH AND GET AN EDUCATION.

  • I've been at a farm. I've seen slaughter. I WILL never participate in that sick bloodshed. And I'm a college student.

I'm not going to work at a farm, I'm opening an all VEGAN, CRUELTY-FREE, SWEATSHOP FREE, FAIR TRADE store.

    *Block time*

  • You haven't been at the right ones then you loser. YOU GET AN EDUCATION FROM LIFE EXPERIENCE, NOT BOOKS. I KNOW THIS I HAVE TWO DEGREES FROM PENN STATE! LIFE HAS TAUGHT ME MORE!

  • dork

  • So speaking hypothetically, if you have a dog and are taking it for a romp in the park and it bites a little kid are you going to tell the Law Enforcement agency that it isn't your dog? GET SOME PROFESSIONAL HELP.

I have 3 children and I'm not their gaurdian. I'm their parent, their teacher, and their caretaker. They are my responsabilty. My kids. I HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY SINCE YOU MIGHT FOLLOW THE PARENTING CONCEPTS OF DR. SPOCK AND LET YOUR BRATS BECOME A DEMENTED AS YOU.

  • Murder, rape, genocide. These things have happened for thousands of years. Doesn't make it right.

  • No it isn't right at all. We are human and we are violent in nature. The goal of each person should be to better oneself. Be glad that you live in a civilized society that lets you speak against these issues. Worry more about your fellow man before you worry so much about the animals.

  • Why should only worry about humans and then non-humans? I'm not speciesist, sorry.

And I do care about people. That's why I don't buy from sweatshops, and do anti-sweatshop activism, anti-racism activism, and many other things. There's enough room in my heart for ALL sentient beings. I don't have to be prejudice and only care about one group.

  • It isn't about prejudice. It's about common sense. Being a vegan is your choice and isn't for everyone. Sell that idea to the Eskimos or the starving billions in poor countries.

  • Killing for survival isn't the same as killing for pleasure, get it through your head! So you think cannibalism should be legal for everyone right? After all, tell that to people who are in starvation situations and are forced to cannibalize.

Being vegan is a choice. So is an animal's choice to LIVE. As long as you are taking someone's right of choice away, and harm that someone, I have every right to ask you to stop.

  • Who says it's a pleasure to kill animals for food? I sure didn't. Cows don't think like people and aren't on the same level. Get that through your head! If I were to stop like you wish then the poor cows would suffer terribly. I grew up with cows, lived with cows, and will continue to work with them until I die. MY CHOICE....if you want me to quit then fork over a few million and I'll think about it "Laugh". I work my butt off 50-60 hours a week to take care of the cows and my family.

  • Because you don't need flesh/breastmilk to survive. So it's for taste (pleasure)

If you were to stop, the cows wouldn't exist. (I said stop breeding for exploitation, not breed and abandon)

Now I said I was done.

I will continue to fight to free those that are victim of human oppression. MY CHOICE. And THEIR choice of FREEDOM.

    I'm done now. Good day.

  • Human are omnivores we have canines and molars. Being a herbivore is your choice. I will eat and drink what I like. If you want to eat grass then go ahead. I could care less.

  • wrong, man is an omnivore being

  • @VeganButterfly soooo just curious, i have a question for the "non-speciesist", yet clearly a "dietist",..... so if you have a child are you not going to do the OBVIOUSLY nature and best first course and breastfeed your child?

  • Hi their, My name is Haley. This is my calf. she was born on Wednesday April 12th 2006. well bye
