Superb tribute; thankyou. He was a great and he would have been one of greatest. What a handsome man, what a handsome talent, what a shame he died too young.
What a age... Drivers... Teams... Owners... it was so different... time when the drivers are like heroes... people that lefts everyhing behind the wheel... times will never come back... Thanks for the Video... Best Regards
This engaging, dearly-loved and admired man, who bought such pleasure and pride to so many, was born in horrifiyingly dangerous circumstances: in occupied Paris to a Russian: Jews active in Resistance. And then he rose like a mythical Dauphin. Family riches were incidental: he shone on his own. Robbed of life before his talent & respectful accumulation of knowledge and skill got the rewards coming.
Name another whose memory so tears at the emotions of those not born to remember them. I can't.
François, the eternal 2nd. Impossible to forget him. I saw him racing in Montjuich Park in my childhood. He died when I was ten. All the F1 fans at school were in shock. One of the most charismatic driver of all times. We'll always remember you, François.
Tremendous, thanks! The the most heartrbreaking moment in F1 history, surely? Wonderfully talented young man, wrong era. Elio de Angelis suffered the same way.
Exactly, clueso... it is so heartbreaking to see this glamorous handsome guy to disappear in the history of F1... what a shame that it happened. He had everything - and it was gone in a split second. Tragedy of high rank.
It's hard, you want to move on with your life, but you get drawn back to this amazing person and wish he was here because that would make you feel better, and more importantly, the world would be a better place.
Konfuusio, what a great tribute - I have to say that again even though I watched it a couple months ago... I appreciate it, if possible, even more now. Good job.
Beutiful Tribute......To a beautiful man.. Who was and still is so very sadly missed by those who did and still do love him. He was a Prince amoung the Commoners. An Angel gone too soon
Always love watching Sir Jackie with the Prince; they are such an odd couple, but their bond transcends their differences and they become even greater champions as a consequence. So sad that Jackie wasn't allowed to pass the crown to his protege, but his decades' effort for driver safety is a great tribute...
François Cevert should have certainly been the first French F1 World Champion but his wonderful career ended suddenly in a fraction of a second by a sunny day, the 6th of October 1973, on the Watking Glen's track. He was not only a great driver but also a nice character, an artist (good piano player). He was much talented and this film is one of the best ways to remember him. Thanks to make us thinking about François. Even 35 years later, he is still alive because he is living in our hearts.
A fitting tribute to a great man. I so strongly wish that I had been alive during that time period, where I think that in a way, Formula 1 was at its peak...RIP Francois
More Beautiful than Words can say. The song says it all really....Well suited as a Tribute to a Beautiful man and a Fantastic Driver....Still so sadly missed. R.I.P Francois. Prince in the Kingdom of Speed. Forever Racing that Great Track in the Skye with Ronnie, Jochim, Jo, Jimmy and Graham.
Incredibly fast, film star looks, charisma to spare, a talented musician: a total superstar taken from us, as so many were. Unfortunateley in the F1 of today there would be no room for Francois, James, Gilles, Jochen....
Superb tribute; thankyou. He was a great and he would have been one of greatest. What a handsome man, what a handsome talent, what a shame he died too young.

For the french guys that used to read (and probably still do) the Michel Vaillant comic books, Cevert was often featured in the older ones.
