hey cheez i just started to train my flexabliity and few days ago my shoulder poped out little bit. my question is if i pop out my shoulder, is that bad for my future? such as i started to lift stuff and my shoulder get dislocated and stuff. I heard shoulder dislocated patients suffers a lot is that the same thing? please help i want to go further but i cannot risk my shoulder
Thanks a lot. I'm hoping to start back into dance training, and I forgot some of the stretches I used to do. Your post was really helpful, and taught me some new tips.
hey ur really good i was in gymnastics for 9 years then i gave up cause we moved away and now im really getting back into all my streching ur video really helped but c when ur in bridge and u go down onto ur forearms my head doesnt go under any advice ? :)
I cant do the bridge pose... i cant lift my uper body or head, i can only lift my butt. I think its because my arms are not srtong enough. Any advice?
@aimi360 ummm i have advice check out my new episode coming out on september 2th 2011 witch should be today cuz im up lte loll but it shows how you could get uper strenth i believe it will be episode 6 o and check out the other videos goodbye
this is such a helpful vid! i am training to be a contortionist and i stretch everyday for about 2hours each day anf this really helps thank you!!! you gave alot of stretches that i needed and I'm going to add them to my 2hour stretch. JUST LOVELY.
Doing these streatches comes really easy to people so those who get freaked by is that person in pain by doing this. No we don't feel it as bad pain it is like an adrenilin rush like a runner gets in their legs. But everone should try this just not as dramatic as her. Thank you for this video.
@COOLGIRLSFROMSISAK no you dont have to be skinny to do this but you cant be like really really fat but you dont have to be skinny because doing all of these stretches and poses actually tone and strengthen the body if you do enough of them. So by doing these you will actually lose weight and get toned after a while but you have to stick with it.
your really good how long did it take you to do all this and it did really help me alot im learning to be a contortionist and ive kinda got the basics dwn you shld make more videos please
i have a question about the bridge with the elbows instead of hands. my arms seems to be too short or my neck isn't flexible enough yet but i can't seem to be able to do it right. any suggestions? i can do a pretty good bridge with my hands but i'm at a loss for my elbows so any help would be great.
the elbow stand that you do in 3:38, i'm not sure if i'm doing it wrong, but it feels like all the blood is rushing to my face. it's a rather unpleasant sensation.
Thanks so much for the help! I only noticed this video after I sent you that message... sorry about that, you must be annoyed with all the messages... my bad!
Anyway congrats! Hope you can find the time to keep it up, it's really cool!

@TheTinyChangesxo work on your back flexibility. quad flexibility helps you do the splits though along with back flexibility. im working on it myself. good luck :)
Very helpfull tutorial!!!How long time did u need for getting so flexible!???!!I'm an acrobat and i really want to get more when comes about contortion!!!Thanks.
The vid is helpful. I followed the stretching tutorial and my back got more bendy.
Still, back flexibility is not easy to achieve. I train as a contortionist for one year now and the most difficult thing I can do is a chinstand, the splits, and a back bend against wall.
I was borned wit front flexibility (if I can call it that way) since I can do a heel stretch and then put my leg behind my head since I was like 4, without any gymnastics training.
I have a question, I have a really flexible back, and I've been working on my bridges.
But, I can't get my arms straight like yours are. Like, mine are straightened, but they sort of stick out. They're not like more in, if that makes sense..they're just not straight likes yours..How do you fix that?
The progress you've made in a year is really impressive. Is it all self-taught or do you have a coach/go to a gym (sorry if you've answered this before)? Do you stretch every day and about how long do you spend in a stretching session?
Thank you for the reply! ^_^ Wow, that infrequently and you've made so much progress--you obviously have a natural inclination. It'll be really cool to see where you'll be in a year from now. ^^
@cheezeehx0x 4 times a week for only an hour?! and you are that good? I practice hours beyond hours 7 days a week and dont see much progress. Perhaps you are naturally flexible and im naturally inflexible.
@qroxxy She's different from us because her ligaments aren't hardened. I have been practicing as much as a year and still don't see much. If you are a guy, training contortion is ridiculously tougher.
@fateindustry Not necessarily. I am a girl and have always been inflexible even since young. I guess if ppl train from really small (like toddler age) then they can say they have always been flexible. I never developed that and in elementary school my ligaments were already "hardened" Now in my twenties I have picked up yoga/contortion. I have been doing it for a year and a half. I've gotta say I have improved a lot. When I started it was very tough too. You just need to practice.
@asianhomebucket I was an addict towards practice.. I was practicing 6-7 days a week and tracked my progress everyday. I took people's advice to rest and warm up well before practice. Nowadays, even with practice, I haven't improved for over 5 months.
@fateindustry Wow, that really sucks. I mean when I say I improved a lot I mean a lot for me. I mean now I can touch my toes. That for me is a lot. Yes. My improvements are actually really small. But it's something. Be gentle with yourself. Maybe you need to give yourself rest days. One person on youtube said it worked better for her to stretch one day and rest one day, rather than stretch everday. I mean 5 months is still a small amount of time. For some ppl it takes years cuz were not young.
thanks thanks thanks. im a boy 14 and always been kinda flexible but not really so ive recently been watching contortionists (flexibleboyy) and mimic them and your video will be greatly appreciated
Does this in anyway affect your spinal cord? I've always been interested in contortionism, not seen many guys try it though. Guess I'm a little scared I'll snap my back/neck in half haha, or do some permanent damage...
i dont think it does affect your spinal chord but im no doctor, so im not 100% sure. If you dont push yourself to much, im sure you'll be fine. anyone can do contortion.
Bet you're naturally flexible. It's nice to see contortionists on tv, or simply a dancer doing the splits, try it out for the first time, and realize you can doit to ;-)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It'd still be interesting to see how far you can get trying to put your legs behind your head... so, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you maybe include it in a future video anyways?
Hehe, what you call "just this" since it's too easy to be any stretch for you (placing the soles of your feet to your head), is still way beyond impossible for ordinary people. :-) That just shows how extremely good you have become.
Judging by the immense progress you had, you must know what you're doing. :-) So this probably good tips for anyone who's already flexible but wants to get better.
Thanks for the tips. Just to let you know, there's no such thing as double-jointed, it's simply that with an unusual joint structure people are able to dislocate it or hyperextend it in ways people with normal joint structures can't.
