  • I found this and his grandfather's video good complements for Fu Zhongwen book: rooted in the feet, controlled by the waist, and expressed in the fingers.

  • Glad see more fajing from the Yang system. usually it's from the Chen style.

  • I never seen this exercise, which doesn't mean much I know because we all make new exercises. It's nice to actually see the fajing applied according to principle of the force coming from the back leg.

  • Great jing ...

  • Hmm good...considering his father is the lineage holder of yang style tai-chi. Do a google search.....Fu Zhongwen is his grandfather from memory.

  • I'm impressed because he uses his entire structure. The way I understand things is that structure allows power to be generated. But having a lot of power is not enough it has to be used in the right measure to be effective

  • Is this, (since you list Fu ZhonGwen),...CLOSE to Yang ChenGfu's original Taiji QUAN???

  • the sounds are less impressive than the "feel". when my Sifu would Fajing, you could feel the whole studio vibrate as though a train were going by. It was amazing to see all the plants swaying when he was through.

  • Peopel not the sounds are important...lool...how realy practice these style knows that....

  • is he double weighted?

  • Excellent !

  • just ruined my pants.

  • Very good....

  • I agree that those sounds are real. However, take notice of the clothes he was wearing and how loose the sleeves were. This is why they can produce the sounds. It will be interesting to see what happens if he wears a bicycle short sleeve jersey and biblong to do the demonstration.

  • The sounds partly represent power output. The rest can be seen with his bodies vibrational levels. You can clearly see his body is totally unified in perfect sync at the time of release. Have him do it naked.. and you will still see that power. But if you really want to experience it... have him strike you once. You will be a true believer in an instant.

  • Actually if u have heard him in real life you'd realise that those sounds are actually real. You should hear his father.....

  • Some asshole added sound effects.

Turn off the sound when you watch. You will get more out of it.

  • Actually if u have heard him in real life you'd realise that those sounds are actually real. You should hear his father.....

  • In fighting, the slow movements and the fast movements become very similar in speed, and the circles(movements) will become so small that only the tai chi user can sense them with awareness, while to the receiver of the technique, the wielder of emptiness becomes like an unmovable mountain of pure jin. In theory, and it seems in practice, if we train seriously, it is VERY SUPER ULTRA COOL. Any description or conceptualization that doesn't point us towards such power, is usless for our purposes!

  • Nice

  • Hi, I practice yang style but I'm begginer, Can I do this exercise?, I most put my concentration in anything special? Thanks the vid

  • Beginners do not do this. You will injure your tendons. First do Tai Chi for at least 3 months, if you are young and healthy. If you are over 40, should wait 6 months.(Unless you can do 40 push ups. The pushups is a test of your tendons strength.) That should prepare your tendons.

  • Thanks!

  • Wow...finally, a yang stylist who knows fajing

  • Very nice!!!

    I´m practicing Chen Stile.

A lot of people doesn´t know that also Yang Stile Taijiquan does have Fajing.

I´m glad that I could met Fu Qing Quan and his father Fu Sheng Yuan years ago in China.

THX a lot for that video!!!

  • I think yang Style is to Chen as small circle jujitsu is to regular Japanese jujitsu. In small circle jujitsu, one can control one's opponent by manipulating his toe or finger, any one of them. Once you can sense the oneness, the mountain moves and dissolves to... I don't know. The dao is not even a name.

  • amazing

  • Wow! thanks so much for posting this! very impressive fa jing.

  • Fantastic clip. Thanks for posting!

  • thank you
