I like chip foose and like most of his work but i do not like this, some people may but i do not. John Deere is a good company, but to me these days they are just a name. There Tractors in the day were great and were true machines but in recent years have changed from duriable metal hoods and body parts to plastic, fiberglass which breaks more easily. The fact is John Deere hurting like everyone else and is trying to get more publicity. I like John Deere but its just a Name and Paint these days.

No average Joe could be able to financially justify affording the expenses that it would take to convert this 4020 back to its former original and useful state.

He said everything is a BOLT ON, meaning if you wanted to change it back to stock it was completely possible. I think it's cool how he's looking at things just a little bit differently. If you don't like the tractor, don't look at it, but don't curse at somebody you don't personally know because you disapprove of his work. Have some respect.

Even I have a 1966 4020 that isn't as nice as that 1970 he just destroyed. Moreover, he didn't even take a total POS gasser and fix it up, which would have actually made a LOT more sense. He took a perfectly good working classic farm tractor and butchered it.
If he had any respect for an American classic, he would have declined doing the work, and told Deere that it's just a bad idea. But as we all know, money talks, and I'm sure Deere paid him very well for the butcher job. I guess some people just don't give a damn about anything except money - Foose included.

Foose is a car customizer/designer, does hot rod type stuff. Personally we do not agree on style. I like that they didn't putz up a 4020 though. That eventually it could be 4020 through and through.
