Maybe you didnt understand what I said above, slow motion reduces the amount of content you can have in a certain period of time (i.e. the length of the song), secondly the quality of footage is not suitable for slow motion. However you are correct I do not have a qualification in video editing, and thus am not a professional, unfortunately.

I guess slow mo would have been a good idea, but if we'd used it we wouldnt have had time to include all the clips that we wanted to due to the short length of the song, also the quality of the camera and method of filming meant that the video would look even more jittery in slow mo.
