Yes, Sakaguchi (creator of the FF series) is working in this game and so is FF compuser Nobou Uematsu. Akira Toriyama is also heavly involved. Not only did he do the character and monster designs but he also worked on the story with Sakaguchi and was the key man behind the character animation of the game.
