  • Mac-SourceCode Command:"DelBackup Folder > Done!" and that Every time if you start & shutdown a Mac...nice Backup

  • or my mac just saves everything in the recycle bin.

  • lol, the mac said if i ever delete a file... then the other mac held up a folder..... FAIL!

  • So much HDD space wasted.

  • system restore anyone?

  • not only can pc's backup they can also restore

  • Macs can get viruses, the main reason they get them less is because:

    1. Windows is used on a lot more computers, so thus is a larger target than Apple.

    2. Most virus writers are familiar with the IBM-Windows OS/2 platform, and thus goes back to no. 1 reason.

    3. Many tools and scripts used to create viruses or other malware are designed for Windows.

It all goes back to Windows having a larger share of the computing market. But, if Apple gets more popular, they will get viruses too! :p

  • @360GamerXlX About 95% of content on TV was edited on OS X.

  • EVER HEARD OF SYSTEMS RESORRE

  • Does Mac change his clothes every hour?

  • This is pretty pointless if you ask me. Windows has had this for a while and the only time I have ever heard of anyone using was when they got a virus. Macs don't get viruses -.-

  • Once you go mac you never go back!

  • so when i delete my porn folder my mother will always be able to find it...

Whoa that is the most anoying feture ever.

but i have no offence against macs i always play cool gam- waait sorry...

i meant i always use photoshop on a mac. you know..

that program that is on a pc too.

  • @santa133t you've obviously never owned a mac.

  • @CelticsFanBoy92 i indeed don't own one, but i work with them every day. PC has my choice. For every thing except the looks. PC = cheaper PC = advanced PC = able to play game's pc = looks like crap mac = looks great mac = easy to work with PC = almost all programs work on it except some mac program's but there are programs like that all over the damn place like pages = MS office well there are maybe some features like that awesome background remover winch i work almost very day with
  • @santa133t Thats your opinion and i respect it. My point is that you can't know how good something is until you've tried it for yourself.

  • @santa133t You can always delete a file no file is undeleteable

  • This is the exact same technology since XP service pack 2 till now with windows 7. where's the legions of computer illiterates to cry foul on that?

  • this feature would annoy me

  • lol now we all know that this pc guy is stupid. Pretty awesome? Of all the features mac has this one is pretty awesome??? right... lol -.-

  • What a waste of space lol

  • external harddrive

  • @moscarellimichele

True. You don't even need that because today you have lots of space in the hd so it is a justifiable act. However, I like having control over what's happening in my pc and I say that is a waste of space and performance lol (disk is slow). It may be a useful feature for some people but not for me.

Hope this isn't one of those features that you cannot deactivate. That would really suck =S

  • @untseac

oh ye its a feature you can deactivate. Well not so much deactivate but just dont use it, just let it sit there with out registering it. But ye i mean if you had a TB harddrive then ye but unfortunatley correct me if im wrong but unless you partition your drive or get an external harddrive, you cant use your harddrive. Ye

    :)

  • Lol, I tried to run Half-Life 2 on a Mac with windows XP, and the estimated time it took to load up was 24 minutes.

    MACS FAIL.

  • lol -.- if you're using windows xp in a mac what's the difference between a normal pc? none

  • Yeah, Mac run's any copy of Windows A LOT slower than any PC.

  • Except for my pentium 200Mhz eheh =P

Well mac specs aren't that great anyway so.. yeah they must run slower if that's what you mean

  • Haha, Macs are'nt terrible, but I don't like them at all. But that's what I was aiming for.

  • won't it copy files to the point of a system overload?

  • Wasted space, even if you have access to an external HD. If you accidentally delete a file, just get it back via the Recycle Bin, lol. It's not like you accidentally delete a file and accidentally empty your Recycle Bin.

  • @ph33rmylackofbeer thats true lol, but it does help if ur going to format your mac because it already backup all your files for u, but personaly i own a macbook and a have a 500GB external drive i use to back up my mac, its slower than time machine but its also cheaper lol.

  • @ph33rmylackofbeer But what if you accidentally move a file and can't find it or add a whole bunch of files to a folder that you weren't supposed to? Not every computer user is going to be able to or want to fix that kind of thing manually. That's probably what it's for.

  • @ph33rmylackofbeer haha, it could happen... ;-)

  • @ph33rmylackofbeer Even if you emptyed the recycle bin you can still recover it

  • @ph33rmylackofbeer Oh no, you didn't get the public service announcement. Macs are for people who would accidentally delete everything on the computer, so they need this sorta stuff..... Its target oriented really.

  • Wouldn't this waste ALOT of space on your hdd.

  • sounds good

but cant you use system resotre in PC

the only thing it dose not take is games and stuff

  • I used System Restore YESTERDAY.

  • As if PC couldn't back up. :P Seriously, does Apple implement every feature on Mac with such a fanfare? "I'm a mac and I can now change my Starting tune, I call it Startler", "I'm a mac and if I ever get lost, I press F1 to get help, it's called iGuide". Seriously..

  • @Rezorrand true but they need to sell products too u know, many people dont have a clue what a mac is so apple needs to advertise so people can see thay can do many things on macs too, my friend saw my mac a week ago and asked me if it was the new windows lololol and i said NO its a diferent OS its the same company that makes ipods u see the apple in the back? lololol. i dint know what a mac was until 2 years ago lolol.

  • @Rezorrand Mac does handle it better. The most often I can make my PC backup is once a day, while Macs backup once per hour, then once per day, then once per month and it keeps it all organized very well. Plus, the Time Machine interface looks much cooler than the Windows Backup interface. That's just aesthetics, though.

Con: The Time Capsule is pretty expensive. But considering it's like the only Wi-Fi external HDD, it's okay I guess. The first of anything is always damned expensive.

  • @hunterlholder I admit that it looks cool, but as you said it's aesthetics. I'm not using backup software on my computers, so I can't really comment on their functionality. From what I found, it apparently is possible to do an hourly backup on Windows machines too, how well it works is beyond me though.

  • @Rezorrand Once you get a nasty virus like I did, you'll see why backups are so importan to me. I think I know how you can go and change the schedule of anything on PCs, but it's for the slightly more advanced user. If Qindows were to offer the options just in the select schedule menu, it would be really great.

  • @Rezorrand Most people don't know about all of this stuff, so it's easier to just make commercials about basics.

  • @Rezorrand No, itz called iStartler!1!

  • I find it easier to operate linux on a pc, macs are somehow sissi about it^^

  • As far as i now Macs where designed especially for gay graphicsdesigners, and only for them

  • LOL

  • then it isnt, and never will be for you

  • the people of mac think they are just SOO great. and the people here that support them, unless you bought the mac for scripting, or programming, or some buisness stuff.

  • weird thats what recycle bin is for

oh no i deleyed my cv oh no its in my recycle bin lets restore it mac is gay

  • time machina works on a external HD you dumbass

  • i wonder how much memory this takes up after a couple months if it does it every hour.

BTWay, PCs are both cheaper and better than macs. hands down.

  • m i am looking for a new computer and i heard a mac runs windows faster than windows, i might my a mac lol

  • Cool! After 12 years, Windows Restore has finally been copied by cr-Apple into the obsolete Mac.

I wonder if they paid Microsoft for the feature or are they just stealing it and hoping microsoft isn't as vicious as they are...

  • haha lmao

  • Wait... Macs are just getting this feature and are acting like it's a big deal? LOL FAIL.

  • Hahaha! Accusing Microsoft of advertising Vista too much while it is cr-Apple that is spending $milllions on dumb "I am a Mac" commercials.

I can't believe cr-Apple is still doing these fraudulent "Windows gets viruses Macs dont" advertisements. Especially right after they sent another warning to all mac users to protect themselves against viruses, and sending out security patches!

Oh wait, they are a bunch of lying, uneducated thieves, film studies majors and Dropputs so I CAN believe it.

  • Well, considering you have to create a file or copy and paste thousands of files to a hard drive, time machine makes it effortless unlike Windows where you have to manually do your back ups. Up until Vista, backup was a manual job, Mac OS X has had time machine since Tiger.

  • uhm ever since 95' PCs can get back deleted files that they accidentally deleted....

  • you know there's this amazing thing called system restore

  • I have a mac and I don't know what half of this stuff does!

  • oh suck my cock macs are cool but time machine SUCKS ASS

  • i agree...

    takes up too much space.

  • Thank you this guy has brains! Theres no reason of even having time machine. what itll come in handy mabye 1 time in a year

  • mm... i'm female... although you wouldn't have known that from my ID. LOL :)

i tried time machine, but not only did it take forever for it to back up, it also failed on me several times and wouldn't back up, that i just said f*ck it.

i have no problem without it.

  • XD Great comment!

  • great vid!! :D
