Great dude, The Human Equation has already gotten way too much mainstream attention in comparison with the older albums which are just as good.

It depends on what kind of music you like, my personal fav. is THE and the Migrator albums! Allso the new "01011001" is awesome!

Good for you! But you should check out the story as all of the Ayreon lyrics are connected to one big story (except Actual Fantasy) :)

Yeah. From what I've read, they are all individual stories, but they all tie together like they are all in the same universe

That's the one I bought first... because it's the first installment in Arjen's saga, it's the best to go into if you're interested in the overall story, but if you're looking for a standalone great album, pick The Human Equation... All the music that first got me into ayreon is on that album... Human Equation also has the most engaging story, at least in my opinion...
You have alot of amazing music to cover! Get to it!
