IMO, Jason was the best stage performer Metallica has had. His background vocals are the best, and his bass solos are different from the sh*t you usually hear. His style isn't as fast as Cliffs, but I find it more melodic. No disrespect to Cliff either as he was helluva song writer and a great bassists, but Jason is getting way too much sh*t here.

IN FACT, James and Lars didn't care about Jason's opinion on writing the songs; he states this as one of the reasons why he quit the band.
