@dea41396returns This elevator is NOT the one inside Nordstrom, it's actually one of the mall elevators just outside of Nordstrom's mall entrance....but I don't know elevators so I'm not sure if that comment helps

@dieselducy That elevator bites. It breaks down regularly--at least 4 times in the past 18 months--and its current antic is to screech on the way down between 1 & P3. It's intermittent but scraping noises are never nice.

The walls actually are relatively nice, so there WAS something to look at. That's about it, though.

There's similar 4-story Schindlers in the Nordstrom at the Natick Collection (Natick, Ma.), but they're 400A's. NICE!

@georgef551 SIMON redid this elevator. The actual "Nordstrom Elevator" is a Westinghouse Traction modernized by Schindler (400A-style) and it talks. Since the store is in a renovated Lord & Taylor, they kept the original c. 1969 elevator, and therefore only have ONE elevator serving... FIVE floors

Why do Sxhindlers go DOWN in underground parking garages instead of up? It goes from P3 to P2 souldn't it be the other way around?

wow i missed that during my 2010 trip to atlanta ga. nice elevator. the leveling could be adjusted. clean fixtures and lights are a helpful.
