  • Did I hear Girlfriend? :D Are you married how old are you?

  • gundaaaaaaaaaaaaam gimmeeeeeeeeee

  • Are there alots of shops like this in Tokyo and if so is there like a site with lists for them when I visit there next year

  • are those phones unlocked??? Great video!!! I would love to see more videos of recycle shops

  • wow!!! i don't mind sleeping in that shop!

  • Really cool.

  • So cool! xD

  • WOW!!!!

  • Thats a very old tradition in Finland too, but there you rent a table in a shop and place your stuff on it, the shop owner cashes in and pays you out if someone buys.

  • lukemorris1 was here

  • I wish I lived in Japan... I would love a dollar store with airsoft like that

  • are recycle shops like this ever present in most parts of Japan?

  • @windiesman

    Yes.

  • Does the word "bleach" mean the same thing in Japan as in English? Like whenever I hear the word "bleach", I think laundry and washing clothes. I mean, why would you name an action anime after a word usually used to connote cleaning clothes? Very strange, if you ask me. Hm...

  • A new second hand shop :D

  • Are there anyplace like "Goodwill Stores" (do you have them in down-under?) in Japan? We have had very difficult experience when my mom died. You just could not recycle used clothing. They were perfectly OK, but... Being a member of older generation, Mottainai... to throw perfectly good clothing, furniture and stuff.

  • I've been wondering about this: Do the Japanese consume alot? What do they think about consumption? I'm American and I know my people tend to buy and consume a lot of stuff (although i don't, cuz i don't want too much to haul). I walked around Japanese shops which had all kinds of cute and naitive things and it had me thinking. I've also noticed with some people's videos that they don't have very much in their apartment or houses. Do you know anything about this? (If I'm making sense).

  • I saw those plastic guns and it made me think, are real guns legal in any part of Japan?? :/

  • @frechieguy

    Japanese people aren't into guns.

    They don't see the point.

    (Except for farmers.)

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom WOW! That kind of social mentality is VERY IMPRESSIVE!

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Why farmers? do they have things that threaten the livestock?

  • hehe im sooo going to find second hand stores when im over in japan this summer.

  • Awesome. Japan is in the recyling business.

  • Where in Japan is this? What is the name of this shop? Really gotta go there!

  • @meloochan

There are lots like this in smaller towns.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom - One thing I noticed is that there were a lot of Australians in Japan. I found this interesting because there seemed to be a disproportionate number of Australians in Japan teaching English compared with teachers from other English speaking countries. Australia isn't really that big of a county in terms of population, is it. Any idea why this is? I also thought they were pretty good at speaking Japanese, compared with other foreigners I met.

  • i always wondered were this stuff went, thanks for the info and i am glad to hear it's not in a landfill some where.

  • Looks like the model numbers of the cellphones etc are only written in roman letters. Would it be fair to say that the japanese are required to know the roman alphabet?

  • @Praxix

Only 26 characters.. they learn them in a day :-D

    Not like their alphabets!!

  • Any guitars?

  • @bellsmyre49

    yep

  • I would just buy everything from there. I really don't mind old stuff. Did they have any dSLR, or film SLR cameras? That would just be the most awesome thing in the world!

  • I gotta consider coming to that shop! Looks awesome!

  • You can buy those bags for a hundred bucks? Do you realize how much money you could make on Ebay if you resold them? You should start selling some of that stuff an ebay, there is a huge market here

  • wow.. r u sure all these stuff were used before..it really looks quite new..

    brilliant !!

  • Do you know if they sell any of that stuff online or do they have online store for these shops??, and do you know any of their addresses?? i would be very much interested in buying some of those items you just showed!

  • Maybe eBay...

  • I get all my cellphones for free. I am pretty hot stuff.

Also, airsoft has got to be the biggest letdown around. Everything is super realistic until you pulll the trigger and it's all "click click click click", like throwing wadded up tissues at someone on a windy day.

  • That's gotta be the most awesome thrift store I've ever seen! :D

  • The best thrift shop in the world?

  • i don't mind buying used good brands for cheap...lol

  • omg!! i so want those air soft guns!!.... thanks man... the more videos you make the more i love Japan and people in Japan. Keep it up dude!

  • lol @ the " US ARMY " sign near the guns. xD damn, they got us pegged!

  • Those Magnums where real???????...The figurines I`ll get them all ...DN Figurines??..cool stuf..

  • awsome nice stuff!

  • lol so i have a question....

dont people like... look at you funny when u go around filming things speaking english??? i dont mean to like sound rude or anything but im just curious.. or is it more common than i think to be speaking english in japan? :]

  • I try to pick the right time and places :-)

  • BOOO to the girlfriend! XD

  • Nah, she was right, we were hungry!

  • ack xD do i hear the japanese McDonalds comercial?!

  • Best thing I ever came across at a thrift store was a Sega GameGear..that'd be it

  • Yeah if i go to a "recycle" shop i just find some old shoe boxes, filled with dust, with some older crap inside.

    And certainly no guns.

    =]

  • is it illegal with guns in america? cause where i live, at åland, every second family has a rifle in their closet xD but not for killing ofcourse, well at least not people, roe deers :) and sometimes boyfriends, as my friends dad says... xD

  • sugoi! where is this place?

  • In the mountains of Aichiken :-)

  • Its much neater then the ones ove rhere in canada....much more organized.

  • Japanese sure love neat and organized!

Nobody would shop there if it wasn't :-D

  • Most of the anime stuff is actually pretty new.

  • I was surprised to see all those guns in a Japanese store. It would be cool if they were real and not just airsoft.

  • Normal Gun Are Almost Illegal in Japan ...

Even Police in some City Does'nt have gun ...

Police are very Strict at No-Japanese Peaple ,so be carefull ...

  • How much are AE(Electric)G's there?

  • yeah

  • How do Japanese view this shop? Do they see it as very bad to stop there ,Or they look down on you for going there?

Or do they think its fun thats theres all cheap stuff and its cool. Or do they feel ashamed for buying something 2nd hand?

  • Buy me an Anime Toy?:(

It okay i don't mind but wow all that stuff in one place.... i wish i was there. Oh btw dude guess what ?XD on Windows Vista there is an App that allows you to calulate currenacy soo i know how much is what now^^

  • Holy SHIT! Never seen a second hand store like that before! I'd go there fo sho and buy myself some almost-new-technology

    o_O

  • Great video..LOVE to shop in 2nd hand stores. Do you know if, on the large items (washers, camera's etc.), if the stores make any guarantee? If it is broken or do they make sure everything is in good order before they sell it?

    Thanks for the video.

  • Yeah, they make sure it works and usually give a 3 month guarantee.

  • So is this like a Ross, 99 cent store, or a swap meet?

  • Never heard of any of those things :-D
