Noizmune try starting with atmospheric melodies to get the right mood set then add drums, and then add other melodies like strings, piano, or trippy noises and then build structure to the tune, try not to spend hours on the same 4 bar loop.

dido! i introduced triphop to my best mate and he loves it although his prefered genre is comercial hiphop, so i think it has the strength to pull in anyone. yes thats very true :) i have respect for all music even if it isnt my fav i aknoledge the qualities of it. i used to love punk a lil while back but tend to only listen to old punk these days as i dont follow new punk bands so much. thats cool man, my fam brought me up on mj motown and my sister got me into rock from a young age. .....

furthermore i might aswell admit i like a vast contrast of music..if you looked at my pne playlist it would be like burial,eminem,katy perry,jamie woon,craig armstrong,sia furler,linkin park,nirvana,mj and rihanna.....pretty broard i think. i do think some young peeps might be listening to more underground music for respect with the adult listeners but referring to the comments on this vid i thought id congratulate as its a rareity in my eyes that young people enjoy this,and it made me happy.

Ah, I see what you're getting at. Yeah, not that many people I know are into trip hop, but when I show them what it is they always dig it :) .. And I think it's important to try and appreciate a lot of styles. I used to ONLY like punk, then just punk and rap, but then my dad exposed me to so much more, I started finding something I like in almost every genre. And holy shit, I didn't know you were in this band. Killer work, my friend :)

Well it's still "young people's music" you could call it. I mean, it's not like it's Supertramp or The Beatles, it's just experimental music. That's not a bad thing, I'm just sick of people saying their age like it makes them a better person or something. I'm 16 too, and I've been listening to trip hop for about 2 years, so should I get an award or something?

We can all agree this is incredible music, but that doesn't make US any better for liking it at a young age.

@ApesOfBass thats a fair point. when i was 16 6 years ago, i was listening to tupac nas and oldschool garage. quality is in the eye of the beholder so really theres no difference between a justin b fan then there is to lets say a marilyn manson fan..i never ment to imply that your a better person for likin this kind of music i was just happy to hear there is...all the young people i no around my city dont even no what trip hop or minimal is. so it was refreshing.
