To answer how this happens:

animation of in-game objects is done through a series of 'joints' which individually control the triangles (each object is just an assimilation of 1000's of triangles) in clusters. So you could have a group of triangles that control a hand, a finger, an arm- you get the idea.

Now that you know the idea, the bug: The 'head bone' was told to move to a specific degree. You can rotate something any # of degrees. The head started at -360, rotated to 45, etc!

I picked up FO: NV on release day being very excited for a new fallout and all I found were 2-3 minute load times (with installation) and glitches out the ass. The strip couldn't have been a bigger joke as well, plus being evil had more negatives than positives. I will never buy another obsidian game ever again and anyone who enjoyed this POS didn't play it at release.
