Using numbers from the US DOE, China alone will be emitting ~25Gt CO2 by yr 2050, in a 'bus. as usual' scenario, or ~19Gt in an 'extreme austerity', "China on board" scenario. This ignores The other 2 economies which will have surpassed the US in CO2 emissions by then. Compare that with GLOBAL CO2 emissions of a mere 8Gt for the yr 2005 from CDIAC. Given the reality of the above UNCONTESTED facts, what kind of moron could possibly believe that it's possible to trim CO2 emissions by ANY amount?

@aerobique "we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere — as if it were an open sewer."
This is an exaggeration. The latest numbers from CDIAC say human industry emits ~8400 million metric tonnes of CO2 annually.Dividing by 365 we get ~23 million metric tonnes, not 90 million, a ~400% exaggeration.
How alarmistic!! PLEEZE! In truth what will happen is that soon the draughts and the rising waters will cause such upheaval that our civilization as it is will cease to work. We are too integrated, break the chain and the system collapses. So less polution, less CO2 and a lot of dying people everywhere.
Give it a few decades and those who survive will have a planet almost pristine. It only takes a few years without fishing for the fisheries to recover.
My hope for the future lies on us monkey's defining feature: GREED.
Nobody can pay 4$ per gallon of gas and energy efficiency is real savings. Electric cars also save money but demand more electricity production. Be it through windmills or through new coal plants. New means more efficient. Bye to the 22% of coal plants that produce 50% of the coal emissions. And right now we are not buing junk from China. They will stop their producing and consuming energy.
It may already be too late. We may be into the first stages of a self sustaining warming feedback loop. If the Gulf stream and other global heat exchange convection systems shut down, the methane hydrates will destabilize soon afterwards and then the parties over.
Thanks for sending this my way.. I have been a subscriber here for a while now. It is a shame that this doesn't get the attention it deserves. I imagine it will not be considered a priority until it is to late.

31,000 scientists and the founder of the Weather Channel know that man-made global warming is a hoax.
4500 of the 6000 temp gathering stations were shut down because they didnt agree with the global warming scam.
Watch out for those who want total control and regulation of everything!

I did and I saw that it was -50 C last winter up in yellowknife.
Yellow knife where I pray for global warming each winter and yet it seems to get colder and colder.

I don't trust those eco lightbulbs. They have mercury in them.
