The RNWY is actually 4,801' (1463m) and can handle larger jets. Use to have B727 service and in Dec.09 Air Tran and Delta will start B737-700 service.
The Erj-135's no longer operate out of EYW, they were used by Chautauqua & Freedom airlines both handled by Delta employees and used for the Orlando route (MCO).
