  • That isn't too amazing but I congratulate you for having the endurance to go through that.

  • Haha I found this out on my own years ago!

  • hmm, there might be a secret behind it!!

  • i always thought 0:10 were not bullets but bombs.

  • Comment removed

  • what exactly does getting 999 coins do?

  • it does nothing, but the fact that you could collect 999 coins in Pinna Park was hidden. Until Ulillillia discovered the method to getting 999 that is...

  • What, was I the first know of its existence?

  • Were you?

  • I actually don't know.

  • I'll believe it.

  • @ulillillia You weren't the first to discover that not sure if I was either but I discovered it in early 2003

  • I would of posted a direct URL to a picture of the original picture of the bomb-ombs, but i get the comment button changing back to "post comment" straight after i attempted to post it.

  • You can't post URLs. I've seen the similar enemy in Mario 3. After a few seconds, they starts to flash then explode - touch the stars and mario shrinks then flashes for a bit.

  • Oh and the timer enemy's are called "Bomb-ombs" i think

But the ones on Pinna park may be a completely different enemy, or just a bomb-omb, with a timer.

  • Great video, keep em' comin

  • Ok, maybe it's boring a little, but if you want to get coins, and I mean REALLY get coins, and thus lives, patience and perseverance are key.

  • How is game development coming ulillillia?

  • I don't see why people made a fuss over it all having a beachy setting.. I absolutely loved this game and couldn't put it down, would even go so far as to say I preferred it to 64 and galaxy, although that's just personal taste of course.

  • Nothing Ulillillia does is a waste of time.

  • Number of people who enjoy Ulillillia's videos > number of people who would care if you died

  • It's very useful for accumulating extra lives.

  • I have a way to get about 3 or 4 extra lives per minute. You'll need to access Pianta Village though for this to work. It can also be done similarly in Serena Beach.

  • O×999

  • Lol, you say always grab the yellow ones, but then you miss it =/

  • I don't always get everything. Sometimes, the yellows come unnoticed. They're worth 8 coins which is why I mention this.

  • I understand, but it was just ironic.

  • I'm still trying to figure out what is dishonorable about being 24 and posting videos on the internet of video games.

    also it's "grammar."

  • Oh boy, that's a lot of coins!

  • What really impressed me about Super Mario Sunshine was how much the graphics looked like a watercolor painting. All these companies trying to make their games look realistic with cartoon characters in them, and Nintendo goes for a route that looks much better and makes more sense.

I also thought it was cool how you could look in the distance and see other faraway levels. It made the game feel like it took place in one big world where everything was connected.

  • The water in this game is the most realistic I've ever seen, particularly the 2-foot waves when you're close to it.

  • I'm still impressed by the graphics of this game. In the level with the hotel (I forget its name!), if you stand near a certain palm tree, you can move the camera so that the sun shines right behind the palm tree. It shines with an effect that is very beautiful and really cool.

Even though Super Mario Galaxy goes for a "painted cartoon" look that looks really good, I think Super Mario Sunshine has one of the most unique and well-designed graphics styles I've ever seen even today.

  • Plus, about water, a funny little fact about the Gamecube is that there were stories going around about the system having amazing water effects (which doesn't make sense, since water effects are more of a programmer thing than a system thing). But because of that, Phantasy Star Online's Gamecube version contained several extra levels that all had beautiful looking water in them, and done in different styles (such as sparkling lakes, shallow puddles, etc.), too.

  • You should make a video demonstrating those PSO bodies of water and that palm tree effect you mentioned!

  • And, call this a coincidence, but the Gamecube's Mario and Zelda game both have a water theme to them. Wind Waker's water isn't so much realistic as it is stylized in a cartoony, simple kind of drawing sort of look. It still looks really good for what it's meant to be.

  • I thought this was common knowledge.

  • does it keep counting the coins towards extra lives after you max out the counter

  • Get 1050 coins and see what happens. Go for 1100 then 1150. You should make this out in this video here. I get 999 coins without a 1up then a delay occurs before I grab the next coin. When I do grab the next coin, I get an extra life. The total coins count can exceed 999. Whether it truly maxes at 32,767, 65,535, or something over 2.17 billion, that I don't know. Reaching 32,767 will take nearly a whole day's worth of the fastest possible (the airstrip).

  • What's really funny, artable3, is that you're 29 years old and still can't tell the difference between "your" and "you're," big boy.

  • Perhaps English isn't his/her native language. This could be the case. Weak eye sight (needing glasses) could also have an effect, though not as much.

  • That may be so, Ulilililia, but according to his profile he's from the United Kingdom, and judging by the messages he's been leaving, he's just a petty idiot.

  • it's a bully

  • i watched the whole thing

  • you should get Mario Galaxy next and find all the bugs/exploits in it

  • oh man i want a gamecube again......
