We protected the stone, we went in the chamber of secrets, we freed the prisoner, we were selected by the goblet, we fought along side the order and now we mastered the Deathly Hallows.
We are the Harry Potter generation and now one more task is in for us. Keeping this legacy alive and passing it down. That is our final challenge.
When I watched this in the theatre, I was like: "Done. We now have 7 months until the End of the Worldwide Phenomenon! And it's gonna be a very good end..."
Harry potter is my entire childhood, and everytime i'll watch 1 of the movies or read the books i'll remember a part of my childhood i was 3 when the harry potter started n im now just turned 14. My Childhood is over ;( i feel like a part of my heart has been destroyed like one of the horcruxs :( The movies may be over but the books and dvd's will remain 4eva D;
J.K. Rowling took lessons of real life and put them into a series of books to teach of friendship, love, happiness, Strength, Perseverance, family, and many more great traits. Though the series may have ended, There is always a lesson to be taken from it and applied to our lives.
@yoshifan9945 He went to Dumbledore's tomb, and took the Elder Wand from him. That's what happened in the movie, I don't know if it was more spiced up in the book, or not, though.
I love how Voldemort smile at about 1:05 - that wicked smile. He finaly found a weapon that he had so long wanted to defeat Harry Potter. But he was wrong, he failed. Wand obeyed someone else...
@MusicDemon1001 Yes, you're right. Before Malfoy Manor scene Elder Wand was Draco's (In Half Blood Prince He disarm Dumbledore). So Draco then had two wands. But he didn't know that. No one did. At Malfoy Manor Harry owned Draco's old wand. And Elder Wand also felt that it's no longer Draco's owner. since then the Elder Wand (and Draco's old one) obeyed Harry.
@Jorgegavamagli Not quite. He's a good thought, but his plan would not end very well. Because Dumbledore planed that After his death Elder Wand will have Snape and will lose it's the power with the Snape's "natural" death (but later would Voldemort figured out that)... But...Dumbledore was disarmed by Draco, not Snape. So he was defeated by Draco and Elder Wand obeyed him then.
This movie is probably the best movie of the year (meaning part 1 and 2) but next year i cant wait for the Hobbit movie :D FINALLY MORE FANTASY MOVIES!
I think that this scene was over exaggerated to make Voldy seem indestructible. At that time, the wand wasn't even loyal to Voldemort. So, it would have reacted to his magic like any regular wand. I think the movie failed on doing that. In the book, he just sent a few-- I think red-- sparks. In the film, he like tore the sky open.
@grendle7 you see, any damn wizard can send red sparks. voldemort, alone, without the elder wand, is way more powerful than most wizards, so it still seems fitting. just my opinion, but i agree with you nevertheless
When the credits began to roll, everyone in the audience began to groan, not because it was a bad place to end it, because the suspense was killing us! Curse you movie director!!!
@erzan It was of course the aim to let it be found, but not by Voldemort, but by Snape, who was to become the true master of the Elder Wand, of course, if Dumbledore's plan had been worked....
@JARHuygebaert not at all, Dumbledore`s plan was to die undefeated, not making Snape the Elder Wand`s true master... making Snape´s death even more tragic and pointless :(
@ToothlessTemeraire Yes you are right, didn't think about that for a sec. But the question was: why not hiding the Elder Wand? Well, because it could be found by Voldemort, but not used...
@ToothlessTemeraire But wasn't the plan to have Snape kill Dumbledore so that Snape would be the master of the wand? And it backfired because Malfoy disarmed him before Snape was even at the scene?
Or YOU disliked it so that you could make a comment about the dislikes in an effort to gain some 200 thumbs up from people who hasn't realised just how old, bad and overused that joke is.
I love the ending of this when Voldemort takes Dumbledores wand (okay I don't really like that particular part) BUT I love the music to it, it totally fits and gives me goose bumps :) Long live Harry Potter!
they ended part 1 at the right time i think. however, i wish they included more scenes such as harry and dudley's farewell at the start. however, part 1 still was a fantastic movie and i cannot wait for part 2!
there couldn't be another ending better than this one. an epic ending. the mix of emotions after dobby's death and then voldemort grabbing the elder wand, was just too much! and makes you want to watch part 2 right after part 1, but we've been waiting for 5 months... can we wait 3 months more?...
@Hawke39 Or something relating to He-man. One of my buddies actually whispered loudly "I have the power!" as Voldemort lifted the Wand into the air. We tried so hard holding in our laughter.
Ughhhhhh I hated how pumped up this got me during that final scene!! It left me so frustrated for days afterward even though I read the book at least twice a year and I know what comes next lol, but still!
I'm pretty sure that this is the music that goes along with the scene where Voldemort takes the elder wand from Dumbledore in the last scene of the Deathly Hallows part 1.
My only problem is that I could see the ending coming from a mile off and it ruined the last 10-15 minutes for me considering this fantastic music and brilliant place to end the cliff hanger
@cenarules222 i know! my sister was like "dont tell me the ending of part 2" but how could i not you know? it's got such a good ending with so much that went on!
