I love how Voldemort smile at about 1:05 - that wicked smile. He finaly found a weapon that he had so long wanted to defeat Harry Potter. But he was wrong, he failed. Wand obeyed someone else...

@MusicDemon1001 Yes, you're right. Before Malfoy Manor scene Elder Wand was Draco's (In Half Blood Prince He disarm Dumbledore). So Draco then had two wands. But he didn't know that. No one did. At Malfoy Manor Harry owned Draco's old wand. And Elder Wand also felt that it's no longer Draco's owner. since then the Elder Wand (and Draco's old one) obeyed Harry.

I talk as if wands have a feelings ;)

Because Dumbledore planed that After his death Elder Wand will have Snape and will lose it's the power with the Snape's "natural" death (but later would Voldemort figured out that)... But...Dumbledore was disarmed by Draco, not Snape. So he was defeated by Draco and Elder Wand obeyed him then.

I think that this scene was over exaggerated to make Voldy seem indestructible. At that time, the wand wasn't even loyal to Voldemort. So, it would have reacted to his magic like any regular wand. I think the movie failed on doing that. In the book, he just sent a few-- I think red-- sparks. In the film, he like tore the sky open.
