i dont know if its 700 hp or not but it sounds good nice work. if i could ever find a job making 60k + a year i could get back into what should be americas favorite past time. Small block chevy rebuilding
+1 you would need at least a 1000cfm or a dual 4 barrel setup. and to make 700 N/A Hp it would be revving way past what any run of the mill pump gas SBC could handle.
427+ CID SBC's can only make 600 hp N/A without having some exotic parts
383 strokers can easily make 500 horsepower ya juz have to have the right parts and knowledge of how to make it work!!! u like holleys better than edelbrocks?? heard edelbrocks r easier to tune but make less power...im runnin an avs 650 edel. yeah engines like yours will cost ya a shiny penny or 2!! lata
that cam you got also sounds like one build for higher rpms, and i saw in another vid you had slicks on it...so it leads me to believe you have taken it down the track...so what does it run??
doubt it makes 700, maybe 500/550 at most...also, small block chevs are relatively cheap to work on and build, i also doubt that you spent 13 grand on the motor... fucking regardless of any lies you may be telling, it looks nice.
Was just mildly curious, are you running any type of a PCV system, or are those just two straight breathers? I've heard of people running them off the fuel pump block off plate; are you doing that?
it's a nice streetable motor, but man.....you need to get rid of that holley and get a demon. I have an 850 mighty demon on mine with annual boosters and no choke....works hella better than my holley ever did.
you can buy an 850 cfm mighty demon from Jegs for $550.00...but they range from like $300-$800...they start with road demon jr., then road demon, then speed demon, then speed demon VE, then mighty demon, then race demon, then king demon.
You taken that thing to the track? I bet it'd stand up on its hind legs. That sounds really mean. Very sweet street sleeper (given you throw a different set of tires than the Hoosiers back there). Haha.
should have droped that engin in a older camaro or someting nice tho

Not to diss on the stroker, but you need to throw a serpintein belt upgrade on her.
deha24 2 years ago
@deha24 lol that IS a serpentine belt. no its not a 1 belt system like modern cars, but its not a skinny V belt like standard small blocks!

I have to say this, you spent $13000 on the engine and put a $350 carb on it, get you a good AED built and flowed carb that will flow around 1100 cfm

I"m not a Chevy man, but the engines you build are out of this world!! I want one haha
