He had 2 personal fouls for roughing the passer in this game. This one was outragous and clearly was an intenent to hurt the QB. He should be suspended immediately. But of course the slimeball Beamer as a coach nothing will be done and VT will keep their reputations as a bunch of thugs going strong.
He pulls up when he clearly sees the QB throw the ball, and then he decides to lower his head and take a shot. Watch the replay. You can clearly see the VT player let up and then decide not to.

You have to ask, though, why that kids knee wasn't taken out by a Duke lineman on the next play.
