  • This is fucken awesome. No easy feat to get 7 baroque double reeds to play in tune... let alone a convincing approximation of extended 1/6 comma meantone. Add in the ubercool factor of William Croft and Schola Cantorum Basiliensis = WIN.

  • cracking pair of lungs on that cor anglais player! :-D

  • what are those baroque english horn looking things? oboe da caccia?

  • they are called taille oboes. They are tenor oboes, same range as da caccia.

  • Do they work the same as regular Oboes? (Fingerings)

  • More or less the same, only that they are in F instead of in C.

  • Beautiful! What is the name of this group, and is there a CD?

  • I <3 oboes!

  • This is beautiful, how do you get baroque oboes? are they more expensive? do you have to make them yourself?

  • Normally you make the reeds yourself. Go check out well-known dealers in your area if you're interested in a baroque oboe.

  • What a fantastic sound!
