Steven Jones truly is one of the great rational and scientific thinkers of our time. You idiots calling him a nutjob are all sheep!! Baah!! Another one of the great professor's insightful and well researched papers can be found on the BYU website titled "Behold My Hands: Evidence for Christ's Visit in Ancient America", Where Prof. Jones explains why he believes Jesus visited America.
Dr. Steven Jones resigned. He wasn't fired. Where do you get that his work is worthless? If his work is worthless, would you mind if I taught a physics course even though I'm not qualified. I mean...it doesn't matter right, if I were to or Dr. Jones. We are both unqualified, right? Jones specializes in Metal-catalyzed fusion, Archaeometry, Solar energy. Yeah, that sounds pretty unqualified to me.
Real 9/11 questions include: Why did the gov't ignore the blizzard of warnings about the impending attack? Where was NORAD? Why did we let Osama escape from Tora Bora? Why did we attack the wrong country? Why haven't we implemented the 9/11 commission recommendations?
Could you explain your NORAD question in more detail? I thought they tracked objects that were high altitude, like missles, or satitlites. Can NORAD track low flying aircraft? And if they could should they have been able to respond in time?
I'm no expert on NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) or their responsibilities. I do know their job is protecting our airspace. NORAD and the FAA both lied about how well they did their jobs on 9/11. We need a real serious investigation about that.
500 char limits are fun. NORAD is also supposed to be able to track low flying, single engine, drug running aircraft. Our military budget is over $400B/year. If NORAD can't track anything bigger or faster than a kite, then we deserve a lot of our money back.
You are 100% correct. Here's something else to think about: theories aside, the fact is that NORAD failed us. So why was no one reprimanded? The best response we got from them was some crap about how all of their fighters were hundreds of miles away on a drill involving planes crashing into building. Coincidence?
People should consider alternative explanations for 9/11 events. But unfortunately Jones' work is worthless. It was not submitted to qualified engineers for review. It speculative and easily debunked (see debunking911.com). So BYU asked him to remove his paper from their website and placed him on paid leave. There are real questions that need to be asked but I'm out of room.
Are you for real? Jones is an engineer! The man is a genius, why else would his colleague urge him to look into this, when he didn't want to get involved. I praise him for his cahonas and fortitude.
What are cahonas (did you mean "cojones" which are testicles?) and what do they have to do with scientific genius? Science requires rationality, objectivity, and rigor. Testicles or fortitude are required for swindlers though.
landshark, okay he is a physicist. He will be redeemed when balls = guts Jones' hypothesis is verified, when the production manager of the WTC project comes forward. He will!
I actually took a course from Dr. Jones at BYU in 2003. Not once in that entire semester did the words "whack-job" seem to describe him. I don't think you know what your talking about. And I think he has every right to look at the data and ask questions. Maybe this is something that should be looked at.

He's not an engineer he's a physicist. The engineers at his own university reject his hypothesis.

wrong section, I meant to put it in the news & blogs section where all of the other factual reports go.
