Cool! I was having trouble finding it so I had to ask. I'd like to write a song in 11/8 one day so I'm looking for examples of how other people have dealt with it. At the moment I'm thinking of using 6+3+2.
@jonnda Just do what you described, break it up. I'm into heavier stuff, so I tried a big metal riff in 7/8 :) (another in 5/4, and 11/8. It's fun and challenging :p). For 7/8, I did two "mini riffs" of 3 half beats each (or one of 6 half beats), and then two of 4 (or one of 8). 3+3 (6) +4+4 (8) = 7/8, becasue they are all half beats. For 11/8, and this is off the top of my head as an example, you could have two 4 beat "mini riffs" (as I call them) and a 3-beat "mini riff". 4 + 4 + 3 = 11/8.
Fora what is the name of this song ?cause it so sick. And dude you are insane. and i love the section were you speed things up. very great performance. you should come to canada.
Love, love, LOVE!

I really like the arrangement, Excellent playing!!!!
THe song is actually bulgarian not turkish. (correct me if I'm wrong, maybe there's a turkish version)
it is called Krivo Sadovsko.
Traditionally the rhythm is 13 beat per meaure, counted as 6+3+4
but they changed the rhythm to 11, 4+3+4.
EXCELLENT PLaying

@Arachnidius
in this case i think it's better 4+3+4, that is 2+2+3+2+2
