  • COOL!

  • Hey, I really liked your video. Those were some nice lingcod. I am from the company that makes those fish grips, and I was going to let you know that we are making a pair that are made out of more durable and more flexable plastic so it want break. Would u like me to send you are pair of them and you can test them out for us. just let me know my email is thefishgrip@att.net. hope to hear back from you.

  • Hey man, I'm just sayin'...your lipgrips broke which in my opinion makes them untrustworthy. I'd rather have grips that are durable over grips that float.

And... attaching a thrashing, 30lb fish to a kayak that's 2" above the waterline by the grip lanyard is a recipe for disaster. You have to absorb the thrashing action with your arm or both you and the fish are in the water.

  • You can make the fish grip out of plastic that want break but it is either to flexable or it want float.

  • Easier said than done. How about making lipgrips that don't break so easily?

  • Hey Dude, when you have a big fish like that one go crazy on the fish grip, let go of the grip, and hold the landyard(or hang on cleat of boat) it acts like a swival and will keep you from breaking your fish grips. once the fish settles down than grab the grips.
