Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.
It's ok Nate. You're not crazy! Well, maybe just a little...haha I'm glad you've found truth. I pray for people like who who stand up and are honest-not judgmental! I support you. Don't ever let ANYONE discourage you! God used you to help me out of a sinful existence. I'm eternally grateful.
Nate is telling the Truth. If your friends say that Nate is wrong and/or crazy, don't listen to them. Listen to what the Holy Spirit of God is saying through this guy.
If you had cancer and went to the doctor, what would you want the doctor to say to you? "You are OK. You have a cancer, but it's OK.", he says because he doesn't want to "hurt your feelings". OR: "I'm sorry to tell you this, but you have cancer. You must get treatment or you will die."
If Nate is wrong and/or crazy, why not give the criticisms some thought? If he is IN FACT wrong, why not hear it out?
I dont give a damn if Nate seems sincere or extremely religious. If he's wrong, i'm calling him out. And he is, quite a bit actually.
Nate is so busy judging everyone else around him that I wonder how much he judges himself. I dont look at those around me, not to THIS extent. I judge myself first. This is the way it should be, always.
@JudgeEden Give me a Scripture in context that proves Nate is wrong, and I will listen to you. I don't think that you can do it because Nate is right in telling people to get right with God. A preacher's primary work is to turn sinners away from sin to God.
For starters every scripture he displays is referring to ONLY the Jews in ancient times. NONE of them have to do with salvation but with their covenant. All one needs to do is pay attention to the chapter.
As far as a preachers work is concerned, their primary duty is the Gospel, and to have people believe on Him. There is never an unhealthy fixation on sin in the writings of the Apostles. Sure, they mentioned it, but they didn't condemn other believers.
@JudgeEden Since you only generalize your answer and don't give anything specific, I will give you just one Scripture from Mark 6: "They went out and preached that people should repent."
That is only one, but there are many others.
Jesus came to seek and SAVE lost people. He preached to them about sin and getting right with God. So did his disciples.
It seems like the preachers you like don't tell you the whole truth and give you a gospel that does not help you to stay clean.
@JudgeEden Here is another one from Jesus Himself in John 15: "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."
Read Galatians 5 to see what the fruit of the Spirit and the works of the flesh are. The Father will prune those that don't produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
The works God would have you do come by themselves, you dont force them. Trying to do the works of God just because you feel as if you lack is not good enough. At this point, you're just doing them for yourself. Are you helping people, teaching people because you REALLY care about them? Or do you do it because you SHOULD be doing works?
Doing good works once in awhile should be very natural.
Do you know what repent means? To feel regret of a past action, that's all. Repenting is not some long drawn out process. When the Apostles told people to repent, at times it was just repenting of unbelief. Other times, it may have been repenting of a sin, but never have they explained it to be a lifelong process. Many preachers (including Paul Washer) like to make it seem as if it is.
And the few preachers I have learned from have shown me much truth.
@JudgeEden The punishments God gave to the Jews are shown as an example for unGodly people today. God So, the Scripture's that Nate uses can apply to us today.
So, your statement about this is wrong.
RE: unhealthy fixation on sin: If angels sinned against God, how much more do people need to be warned about sinning against God. Those evil angels (today we call them demons) are going to be put into hell and so are their human followers, i.e., ALL sinners.
Really though, Nate isn't speaking about REAL sin, he is nitpicking the lives of others. Because Christians aren't living the way HE thinks they should.
If no one senses the self righteousness in Nate, either they are blind, or they share the very same self righteousness that infects Nate Fail.
@JudgeEden Do you really think that preachers like Nate LIKE to tell people they're going to hell? It doesn't give any of us preachers pleasure to do that. We are compelled by Christ to tell people the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth. So help me God! We preachers will have to stand before God on Judgement day and give an account of our work for Him. Woe to us if we don't do what God has called us to do!!
Please examine yourself and don't be defensive. Be thankful someone cares
Do I think he does? Uh, yeah, I do to be honest. On one of his videos he spoke about seeing people burn in Hell and glorify God for such a spectacle. Such a person WANTS people to burn. I dont care what they have to say in their defense.
Eternal torment is a demonic unbiblical lie anyway. To a lot of Christians, that's heresy, I know. But it is the truth. The truth has never really been popular. Yet, I hope to help change all that.
As for the video, who in the hell believes they are doing God a favor by believing? Where does Nate get this crap from? This guy is a terrible teacher, yet, he has many followers. So does that Paul Washer. Unbelievable.
@lucachee Congrats buddy! :D Also watch Paul washers shocking youth message if you haven't already and maybe the movie 180 while you're at it. I am 16 as well and may the Holy Spirit continue to guide, teach and discipline us to walk with him and to make sure Jesus knows us as we know him. To continue to grow and develop such a passion for him so when the time comes. We just might die for him :)
Paul Washer is a false prophet and so is Nate Pfeil. I wouldn't listen to either of them. And sure, I may just seem like some random douche on the internet, but it's readily apparent that what i'm saying is true. That is, if you studied the scriptures enough for yourself.
Nate teaches a works based salvation, which isn't Biblical. Neither is eternal torment.
@lightning745 it is kinda sounding like you had the same expierience that I had.i used to be really addicted to World of Warcraft and Call of Duty but God saved me from the bondage of video games. I am sixteen and.
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an ENEMY of God.
It feels great to throw out my favourite video games.. because now I know that THEY ARE SINFUL!! It was hard but once I threw them in the garbage while people were watching me. I felt "lighter" I feel happy and now I honestly don't even miss them. Praise be to GOD!!! ask him to clean out your life :) because he will.. but you have to trust him and repent ^_^
@PRL2204 lol not all of them :D just some of them ^_^ some have really excessive violence and some just go against Gods word. Like how can we use something sinful even if we're not doing it. To serve as entertainment?
@PRL2204 1) Anything that we love more than God is an idol. What we spend money on shows what we truly care about. People spend 60/game while they are hesitant to throw a 20 into the offering plate. You tell me what their god is.
2) For many people video games cause them to swear have fits of rage and even hate people they don't even know because they lost in a game. Are these fruits of flesh or of spirit?
I'm not saying that this is the reason, but it really makes you think, doesn't it?
You stupid people. Just because a person may enjoy games does not mean they love them more than God. Everyone enjoys doing something, none of it has to be idolatrous. And you even encourage tithing? No, sorry, I would rather throw my money into a sewer.
Tithing is not meant for us, it was for the Levites.
Just because SOME people have fits of rage doesn't mean EVERYONE who plays games does the same. And even if everyone did, are you implying YOU have a perfect attitude throughout the day, everyday? Are you going to drop this facade of being perfect?
Are self righteous Christians going to stop lording over others?
Again....Video games aren't bondage and they aren't sin. By that stupid logic you may as well starve to death. Because, you know, you could become a glutton.
Just because YOU couldn't control yourself doesn't mean games are bad. Golly, Christians these days.
@JudgeEden Well if you truly have accepted Christ. You begin to hate sin, you begin to have spiritually discerning eyes, your mind is reborn, you're given a new heart. I am not saying all are bad. Just a very large portion is sinful (Immorally dressed women, hate, vulgarity, witchcraft etc.) I use to think like you but the Holy spirit convicted me so much that I just couldn't keep shunning him. Once I threw them out, I felt like a big weight was lifted off me. Christ is there if you let him :)
I feel bad for a lot of the sins I do, yet, I dont feel anything towards video games. Why is that? Just because I like them, doesn't mean I am looking for excuses. I'm sure what got you to throw away your games wasn't by any prompting of God, but by those who tried to tell you what it meant to be Christian and those who called them trash.
I dont hate people because of video games, many gamers wouldn't agree to what you said at all.
And do you know why it feels as if a big weight has been lifted? Because apparently you had an addictive personality and it's nice not to have your life run by something anymore. I assure you that I would not feel the same as you. And that is because I can control myself.
If you want to get rid of your games, be my guest, but dont act as if it is necessary. One cannot keep his salvation by doing that, one cannot earn his salvation either. I will continue to play games because it is what I enjoy, and as far as I can tell, there is no sin involved.
You may as well not walk outside if immorally dressed women bugs you. Anything you attribute to games, you'll see elsewhere anyway.
@micahwong11 Well for example if you are a true believer and you truly have accepted Jesus Christ and want to repent. Your life changes, its that simple. Once I accepted Jesus after 15 years of thinking I already did I finally started to see the evidence of my own saving faith. You begin to hate sin and love God. I saw in my video games: Immorally dressed women, It caused me to cuss and hate people I don't even know, It consumed my life, wasted my money. Not all are bad. Just most of them :)
Most games are bad? How would you know that? I've been gaming for over 20 years and I couldn't even begin to make such a statement.
Also, when a person is saved, they dont change immediately. Your outlook might, your opinions will, but who you are takes time. It is a gradual process. Anyone that makes it seem that you aren't saved if you haven't totally changed at the moment of believing is a liar and should quit trying to teach others.
@JudgeEden ask yourself this: "What would Jesus do?"
Would He spend endless hours wasting the most precious thing he has, his life, playing games? OR Would He use that life in ways that please God?
When a person comes to God and truly repents, there is an immediate change and an ongoing change. If that person is sincere, and God knows the real truth, then the ongoing change brings about the character of God in that person.
@JudgeEden If that change is delayed, he becomes a victim of evil and is useless to the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus. He in fact has become a blind ally of Satan. That person is not bothered by the inner tugging of the Holy Spirit anymore because he is comfortable in his sin.
If this preacher makes you uncomfortable, ask yourself why does it make you feel uncomfortable? It is because there is something wrong in your life and the Holy Spirit is working to get you to repent. Act today
Nate does not make me uncomfortable, not in the way he makes everyone else feel uncomfortable. I dont like false teachers. And I have rebutted a lot of what Nate had to say in this video with another uploader of the same video.
Video games aren't sin. Just because you're not into them or view them as useless means absolutely nothing. Would you waste countless hours doing anything? Wasting time is subjective.
I cant imagine Jesus playing games because I dont imagine Him much of a gamer. That doesn't mean gaming is a sin, however. You guys are just being stupid and prejudiced of the interests and hobbies of others.
Do you have a hobby? Can a person go fishing, read a book, fly a Kite, listen to music, go swimming, watch a movie etc. Without self-righteous Christians trying to get in their business?
None of those things are sins. And Salvation is not a burden.
You have no idea what I do, you have no idea who I am. You have no idea of the change in my life, yet, here you are acting as if I am lost. Just because I have hobbies and I like video games does NOT mean I am stagnating. Christians are always generalizing just as much as any other group. You typical Christians are so annoying, you guys dont listen to reason, you guys barely listen to the scriptures you claim to respect so much.
I've noticed you're into motors and generators and all that. How does THAT glorify God, huh? I'm not into that stuff at all, I could consider that a waste of time, but I wont because everyone is into something.
Most people that say you should concentrate fully on God things are fooling themselves. EVERYONE is into something that doesn't involve the Bible.
I hear people talking about hating sin all the time. Just because you may hate sin, does NOT mean you stop sinning. YOU are a sinner, you will be until the day you die, this is fact. If you are trying to become holy to keep your salvation, you will be damned. You CANNOT earn and you CANNOT keep your salvation. God does all the work. And your salvation is not dependent on what video games you play or what movies you watch.
@JudgeEden Well of course you can't stop sinning anyone who claims to be perfect is really a liar and yes I agree in no way can you earn salvation. It is through belief in Jesus Christ :D. yes I agree a person doesn't change immediately its a gradual process. However as for video games I guess we'll agree to disagree then.
Reaching a specific person, happens with a specific message....there are a lot of words here....but, I know this man loves Jesus---he just doesn't fit your judgment....well, ya know anyone can judge....but, I am happy for the millions around the world, like Nate, trying to offer a glimpse of God that no one would ever get if it weren't for their efforts.
"But since your walk with Jesus has nothing to do with your flesh, im gonna tell you something of far more importance". Powerful true statement, that was good brother, Amen,
@NathanielHawthorne15 To learn how to hate sin, get to know God. That way, you can know why God hates sin so you can hate it too. For example, I know that God considers each of us a masterpiece, and so He hates lust because by lusting, I have reduced that masterpiece to an object, to something with so much less value than the value God has for her. This is a horrible way to think about people, yet I am guilty of this. So I turn to God for forgiveness and ask that He make me into a new person.
Nate... thank you so much for this message! You were made by Jesus to spread the Word of God and you do a very good job of it. This video was made for me to see. I want to let you know that I have not waited any longer! I am straight with God! Keep the good Word flowing my friend. God bless you!
The convictiobs of this video is overwhelming as to Imperfect Christin who still struggles with daily sin each day, and sometimes with the same sin who probably haven't been delivered from yet. This is how a perfect Christian who faithfully loves God should live like, but what about the grace of God. Isn't it sufficient? Didn't Jesus came and died for our sins, all of them? Or only the sins of the past? I would definitely be in hell right now if I were to measure up to all of God's standards. :(
Matthew 7:22 23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
@mustangpassurchevy Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
@FootsieToes11 Listen to what Jesus said that they would say "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" They relied on their works to save them.. He didnt say they would say didnt we have faith on you or wasnt our repentance sufficient enough for you?
What a brilliant moving yet confrontational video. God bless you Nate

If that person is sincere, and God knows the real truth, then the ongoing change brings about the character of God in that person.
fathershand 2 weeks ago
@JudgeEden If that change is delayed, he becomes a victim of evil and is useless to the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus. He in fact has become a blind ally of Satan. That person is not bothered by the inner tugging of the Holy Spirit anymore because he is comfortable in his sin.
If this preacher makes you uncomfortable, ask yourself why does it make you feel uncomfortable? It is because there is something wrong in your life and the Holy Spirit is working to get you to repent. Act today

@fathershand
Preacher? Is that what Nate is to you?
Nate does not make me uncomfortable, not in the way he makes everyone else feel uncomfortable. I dont like false teachers. And I have rebutted a lot of what Nate had to say in this video with another uploader of the same video.
Video games aren't sin. Just because you're not into them or view them as useless means absolutely nothing. Would you waste countless hours doing anything? Wasting time is subjective.

@fathershand

@fathershand

@fathershand

@lightning745
JudgeEden 2 weeks ago

So I turn to God for forgiveness and ask that He make me into a new person.

how can you learn to hate your sin cause i kinda feel like i repent because of fear of hell?!? Thanks for the video also

Nate... thank you so much for this message!

I see where this guy is coming from, honestly, I do. But, I do have to say, Christians cannot just operate on a reward/punishment system.
You have to ask yourself: If there was no Heaven, no Hell, would you still LIVE FOR GOD, and do good deeds?
That's what your focus needs to be.
