@Kissmoi123 Well it is a byproduct of oil production, and it's definitely not too skin friendly. Mineral oil and petroleum derivitaves can also cause clogged pores and acne. Best to stick with oils like coconut, sweet almond, rosehip seed, jojoba, argan, etc. You may have to test out a few to find one you absolutely love.

I have been using a natural beauty balm by mama nature called queen b.It has made my skin less wrinkly and silky smooth. It also is not as greasy as before and it has a shine to it. It has honey and beeswax and royal jelly which are all supossed to be good for your skin. But what i have noticed is the dark circles under my eyes have become lighter. It might be a coincidence I cant say for sure but i must admit to loving this balm. I will be getting more sent over from england soon.Hope this helps.
@AnchorsAway13 You need a nice, gentle acid/chemical peel like something from Naturopathica or even DIY like yogurt or mashed fruit. They will leave your skin less oily and less congested, especially if done 2-3 times per week. However, do NOT leave any acid/chemical exfoliant on for longer than 10 minutes.
@TunTuniification Absolutely! Just pick the right toner for your skin. A "lotion mask" is a misnomer - it's more accurately translated as a "toner mask." My website has the full information on it. I'd post a link but YT doesn't let you do that. Search "lotion mask" (in quotes like shown) into the search bar and you'll see the article.
I apply vasline all over my face at night before I go to bed and wash my face after I wake up in the morning. It really really makes my skin look fresh! I even apply a little amount of vasline and just puff some regular powder on my face before I go to school. That make my skin look fresh too! :D Is that a good tip? :P
@xAFallenArchAngelx Yes and no. :) I'm not a fan of Vaseline because it's an industrial oil byproduct (petroleum). Instead, I use coconut oil, sweet almond oil, or un-petroleum jelly by Alba in the same way, and it gives you a nice glow. If you'd like, give those natural alternatives a try.
Hi! You have a very radiant skin! :D Can u give me some very easy home remedies for glowing skin and to prevent pimples? I really need them because my skin is having a lot of small pimples... :(
@xAFallenArchAngelx The best home remedy is a good diet, followed by good skin care. However, diet is about 80-90% of the reason why you have clear skin or blemished skin. Check my website for all the free articles I've written. That should help you out. :)
you are the idiot , filtered water helps a lot ! She said that it works best because it does not have chlorine in it which causes the skin to feel irritated you moron
as soon as u said drink a lot of water i went and got a big glass :-) and what lotian mask do u use i ? i have loads of black heads and pimples around my chin, hairline, nose and i was wondering what tips would work best :-) please reply! and i love ur skin it really glows!!!
Hi Steph! I wanted to thank you for the tips. (I have been obsessed with them for the last year :D)
Fish oil works GREAT! It gave my skin a nice glow and made my blackheads look much much smaller. The lemon flavor makes it taste much better. Also, because of you, I started drinking water and eating LOTS of greens. Thanks!
Btw, I also bought the vitamin C you are using (stopped taking Centrum as you recommended), but I can't figure out how to use that powder vitamin C. I couldn't get used to its taste and was wondering if I could add it to tea (or anything hot). Do you know if vitamin C loses its effect in hot water? Should I add it to a smoothie instead?
hey does salt and oil scrub work?? because my mom is absolutley obsessed with having me use it and i have no idea if it works or not yet... pleease help i have so much acne :(
@xXalahmed3Xx Yes, I used that just last night after making it myself (about 1/2 cup coarse sea salt and 1/4 - 1/2 cup olive oil). However, I use it on my body, not on my face. Your face skin is more delicate and thinner, so if you use a scrub, I recommend one with smoother particles, like jojoba beads. I prefer to recommend and use enzyme or chemical exfoliants that you leave on 5-15 minutes (no scrubbing involved) which would be better for your skin since you have active
@xXalahmed3Xx acne. What is REALLY going to work for you in eliminating your acne is diet. Get rid of the crap and eat healthy, and you'll see a huge and quick improvement in your skin. Eliminate refined sugars and grains for 2-4 weeks and see how you do. You can also try removing regular cow's milk dairy, which helps many people reduce redness and cystic acne. Check out my website for more details - I have tons of free articles on there.
@xerry1244 Regular sugar is just fine, and it's best to go with very fine sugar (not coarse). The less processed versions are better since there are more nutrients available.
Do you have any tips on how to lose weight fast but in a healthy way and also do you have any tips on how to make your hair and nails grow and become stronger without breaking? @militarygirl123 Yes, check out my website and search "how to get a model body" - that's the name of the article where I interviewed Justin Gelband, the personal trainer for Victoria's Secret models. Hope that helps!
@meshelda No, I've never heard of that happening nor have I seen any examples of that in research. Excessive carbohydrates and salt tend to be the two biggest culprits of water weight, not fish oil.
@TheGoodforSomething I'm so glad to hear that your skin is doing better! With the fish oil, make sure it's relatively new, you don't want to take rancid fish oil. ;)
@TheGoodforSomething I know right? :P I like Carlson Labs liquid cod liver oil (I mean, I don't like the taste or the texture, but I like the results), or you can take capsules from Nordic Naturals. Two best brands I've found.
And no problem, I try to respond to everyone, but people do fall through the cracks sometimes. Thanks for your comment and support, I really appreciate it.
by the way, a great green smoothie/juice recipie for anyone interested! :) Blend or juice *Spinach *Kale *Spirulina *Agave Nectar *Granny Smith Apples *Pureed Split Peas *Blue Green Algae Sounds gross but the apples and agave nectar make it taste good :) Theirs a GREATTTT green smoothie Bolthouse farm makes. It's called Green Goodness. SO GOOD :)
@ambientSoundscapes Thanks Sound! I'll try that but without the agave, since it's essentially pure fructose/high-glycemic. Maybe stevia or coconut sap sugar instead. Muchas gracias!
YOU ARE SO PRETTY! I cant believe someone can look this pretty when she smiles! This video didnt help me at the first time i was so busy looking at you.
@epicbeautyguide I just recently purchased the personal microderm and was wondering if you had any suggestions for what toner and replenishing moisturizer to use after using it. I have sensitive skin and I do have some breakouts
@naty8806 Sure, naty. First, just be sure you are careful and gentle with your new microderm tool since you have sensitive skin. For toners and moisturizers, there are some great brands for sensitive skin prone to breakouts – Sophyto and ARCONA are my favorites for that particular type.
my mom knew this little girl who popped vitamin c pills like they were candy, but then when she stopped she got scurvy because her body was used to like a bunch of vitamin c c:
@loopylooops Scurvy would only happen if she was getting too little vitamin C for a prolonged period of time. Our bodies don't manufacture vitamin C, so we need to get it from fruits, leafy greens, supplements, etc.
OMG my mom tells me dat my skin is so dry becuz i dnt drink alot of water i juss dnt listen but i guess shes rite thats probablly y i have alot of splotches and spots thats lighter than my regular skin color.
wow this was super awesome :) its natural and I dont have to go spend tons of money on beauty products! That usually test on animals :( BTW! You have amazing skin and you are very pretty :) thanks for these tips!
I have alot of redness on the lower part of my cheekbone all the way up to my nose on both sides. No matter how much makeup I put on it, it does'nt go away. How can I fix this? <3
@YourMomGotSwag Hey Swag, I can't tell you what the redness is because I haven't seen it. Is it just a flush? Does it have any raised areas? Is it rough or dry? How long have you had it and when did it first appear? I definitely need more info in order to help you out at all.
@epicbeautyguide It has been there as long as I can remember.. There is no raised areas other than the normal small acne on my cheeks. It's not rough or dry though, just a regular part of my face but it's red. <3
@YourMomGotSwag Okeedoke, it could be a few things. I know what you're talking about, since one of my friends has this. It almost looks like those red cheeks you see on babies. So here's some ideas. If you smoke or are around smokers, do your best to eliminate that. Eliminate dairy for 2-4 weeks and see if that makes a difference, since facial redness is often a dairy allergy or sensitivity symptom. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet: fish, grass-fed meats, fish oil, organic veggies. Skin care wise,
look for products that contain vitamin C, which will help to eliminate broken capillaries and redness. My favorite is ARCONA Youth Serum (20% vitamin C). Skin Apotheke is another great brand with vitamin c products. With vitamin C, allow 4 weeks to see a difference. Once you try everything, and say nothing works, then go visit a dermatologist, since they can recommend certain skin care treatments. Laser therapy will remove redness if all else fails.
I want your skin, so as soon as i turn 18 i'm going to do each and every one of these! My mum would really think i was odd if i started rubbing champagne into my face - even if i did show her the beauty of yours! <3
@xxxPnfoldxxx Haha she probably would...even my own mom thinks it's bizarre. Truthfully though, 95% of my skin care comes from what I eat. I write a lot about that on the website if you want to go read it - you can start now instead of waiting til you're 18. ;)
omg in every video they say to drink lots of water , but love soda to much. MY brother in the other hand drinks alot of water but still have acne becuase he eats alot of fast foods.Btw are home cook meals healthy?
@TheAgentOfDeath There's a reason why it's in every video or every article. Water is a basic thing and instead you're drinking crap. Soda and fast food is not just bad for your skin – your skin is just showing you how unhealthy you are on the inside. Home cooked meals can be healthy, but it depends on what ingredients you use.
Thank you so much for this vid. :) I think your tips are awesome and this has definitely made me realize I should be looking after my skin more! I'll use these tips for sure ♥
i drink tap water that`s what clears my skin up and when i stuck to drinking that daily my friends would tell me my skin is looking glowy and i didn`t even have any powders on foundations on my face or blush or bronzer
i don`t waste my time on those products that guarantee your skin will be clear in a week because it drys my skin out more and causes it to break out more.
natural things like honey milk and yogurt help your face and water to drink (:
@veronicalodge86 Haha I know right? Sorry about that. I always keep my website updated with new articles, so that may keep you satisfied until I start making videos again. I get really busy, my camera is shitty, and blah blah excuses excuses. ;) I'll make them again soon though. Have no fearrrr (and check out the site if you haven't yet, you'll like it).
I also have a question, I have a really hideous freckle on my arm, how long would you need to put the lemon juice on it? for it to lighten up so it's a little less noticable?
@chicka1105 Is it a freckle or a mole? Moles are generally the hideous type. If it's really a totally flat hyperpigmentation mark (a.k.a. freckle), then you can try the lemon juice trick. I'm not sure how long it will take since it all depends on the freckle and your skin. Stay consistent with it and do it at 1-2 times per day. Wear sunblock on the spot so it doesn't re-darken.
@gummibearko Thank you, gummibear, I really appreciate your comment. That is very sweet of you. I had braces for about 2 or 3 years I believe. Got them taken off when I was 16. I stopped wearing my retainer at 18.
What do you think of the top multivitamins brands like One-a-Day or Centrum? I have been researching lately, but I couldn't decide whether they are actually useful or not. Do you have a favorite multivitamin?
@MsBabyBlue0 I'm not a fan of most brands of vitamins or supplements because they often use synthetics and fillers, which are useless and sometimes harmful to your body. My favorite multis come from New Chapter, Garden of Life, Pure Encapsulations, and a few other whole-foods based vitamins that are not coming to mind right now. You want to look for supplements that are "whole foods" based and do not contain magnesium stearate (also called vegetable stearate).
it was the decrease in acne lesions after following a diet low in grains/wheat/high-glycemic carbohydrates). It is very easy to see that someone with bad acne will have a partial or complete clearing of it if the diet is changed to a healthy one, though there are usually tweaks and individual foods that may need to be added or removed for best results. I love your username, by the way haha.
@pornmonster69 I'm glad you found my channel! The reason why many doctors still say food is not related to skin quality is because of two outdated and poorly done studies on chocolate's effect on acne, funded by the chocolate makers. It's also hard to prove in a scientific setting that food effects your skin, since it can be highly individualized. However, more recent studies (such as one in '06 out of Australia) have shown a direct correlation between acne and certain foods (in this case,
From my expereince lemons make your skin more sensitive to the sun so if you use them for your freckles, then you really have to use a very good sunscreen and also if you use the sunscreen when in the sun your freckles will eventually fade! just thought i should say so. :) Oh btw I loved the video!
@sepickett1 For questions, please see my website: EpicBeautyGuide (dot) com. It's hard for me to get back to everyone's emails, so it's best to do a search on the website for what you might need help with.
I need help, I've been having acne for a long time and I hate soda, coffee, energy drinks n etc but I've drinking is water 24/7 for a long time but I still get black heads, what am I doing wrong?
@CourtneeeyCorpse Because of the fluoride? Yes and no. There is a lot of controversy surrounding fluoride that I'm not going to get into, but if you do your research you can decide which side of the argument you want to be on. :P
I don't know about yall but i watch this video almost every day to be motivated to have a healthy way of living. There should have more people like her on youtube. Beauty is not about make up and all that stuff, beauty is based on all those natural habits...You sleep well, you eat well, you practice sport, you can use some natural ingredients to help, and you feel good in your skin, then everything will appear more beautiful. Stay natural.
Hey, I got tea tree oil from body shop and like it's only 15 percent not 100. The area where I live in doesn't have any other brands of tea tree oil, would a 15 % tea tree oil product produce any results? I also got vitamin E oil which has some aloe vera in it, that is the closest i could get, is that any good?
@MrSidinthehouse It may work for you, otherwise you could try purchasing 100% online. Vitamin E/aloe mix is fine since aloe is very healing and aids absorbency.

@epicbeautyguide I just recently purchased the personal microderm and was wondering if you had any suggestions for what toner and replenishing moisturizer to use after using it. I have sensitive skin and I do have some breakouts
naty8806 2 months ago
@naty8806 Sure, naty. First, just be sure you are careful and gentle with your new microderm tool since you have sensitive skin. For toners and moisturizers, there are some great brands for sensitive skin prone to breakouts – Sophyto and ARCONA are my favorites for that particular type.

my mom knew this little girl who popped vitamin c pills like they were candy, but then when she stopped she got scurvy because her body was used to like a bunch of vitamin c c:
loopylooops 2 months ago
@loopylooops Scurvy would only happen if she was getting too little vitamin C for a prolonged period of time. Our bodies don't manufacture vitamin C, so we need to get it from fruits, leafy greens, supplements, etc.

I have alot of redness on the lower part of my cheekbone all the way up to my nose on both sides. No matter how much makeup I put on it, it does'nt go away. How can I fix this? <3
YourMomGotSwag 3 months ago
@YourMomGotSwag Hey Swag, I can't tell you what the redness is because I haven't seen it. Is it just a flush? Does it have any raised areas? Is it rough or dry? How long have you had it and when did it first appear? I definitely need more info in order to help you out at all.
~Steph x
epicbeautyguide 3 months ago
@epicbeautyguide It has been there as long as I can remember.. There is no raised areas other than the normal small acne on my cheeks. It's not rough or dry though, just a regular part of my face but it's red. <3
YourMomGotSwag 2 months ago
@YourMomGotSwag Okeedoke, it could be a few things. I know what you're talking about, since one of my friends has this. It almost looks like those red cheeks you see on babies. So here's some ideas. If you smoke or are around smokers, do your best to eliminate that. Eliminate dairy for 2-4 weeks and see if that makes a difference, since facial redness is often a dairy allergy or sensitivity symptom. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet: fish, grass-fed meats, fish oil, organic veggies. Skin care wise,
epicbeautyguide 2 months ago
look for products that contain vitamin C, which will help to eliminate broken capillaries and redness. Laser therapy will remove redness if all else fails.

omg in every video they say to drink lots of water , but love soda to much. MY brother in the other hand drinks alot of water but still have acne becuase he eats alot of fast foods.Btw are home cook meals healthy?
TheAgentOfDeath 3 months ago
@TheAgentOfDeath There's a reason why it's in every video or every article. Water is a basic thing and instead you're drinking crap. Soda and fast food is not just bad for your skin – your skin is just showing you how unhealthy you are on the inside. Home cooked meals can be healthy, but it depends on what ingredients you use.

i drink tap water that`s what clears my skin up and when i stuck to drinking that daily my friends would tell me my skin is looking glowy and i didn`t even have any powders on foundations on my face or blush or bronzer
i don`t waste my time on those products that guarantee your skin will be clear in a week because it drys my skin out more and causes it to break out more.
natural things like honey milk and yogurt help your face and water to drink (:

epicbeautyguide 3 months ago
I also have a question, I have a really hideous freckle on my arm, how long would you need to put the lemon juice on it? for it to lighten up so it's a little less noticable?
chicka1105 3 months ago
@chicka1105 Is it a freckle or a mole? Moles are generally the hideous type. If it's really a totally flat hyperpigmentation mark (a.k.a. freckle), then you can try the lemon juice trick. I'm not sure how long it will take since it all depends on the freckle and your skin. Stay consistent with it and do it at 1-2 times per day. Wear sunblock on the spot so it doesn't re-darken.

Hi Stephanie,
What do you think of the top multivitamins brands like One-a-Day or Centrum? I have been researching lately, but I couldn't decide whether they are actually useful or not. Do you have a favorite multivitamin?
MsBabyBlue0 4 months ago in playlist More videos from epicbeautyguide
