I hope you don't feel like I'm attacking you, I just feel that there are some things you might want to rethink, because Psalm 139:13 says, For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. The entire Psalm is a good reference, but I'd like to emphasize that first part. People are born gay, not by choice, but because God created their inmost being that way. How then can we say that we are to change what has been fearfully and wonderfully made?

As a very small child ur not attracted to anyone, but when that time hits where we begin 2 develop those feelings, is where the choice comes in. People may be attracted to the same sex, but just because its something you want doesn't mean its right. Straight single people have the "urge" to have sex, but that doesn't mean sex outside of marriage is right. There is pleasure in sin for a season.
When you become an adolescent, the period of sexual awakening, is when you start realizing your attractions. Again, I don't think being gay is a choice, because while everyone tends to have same-sex attractions sometime, gay people do not 'out-grow' it.
I think that a problem in many of the arguments against gay people is tagging being gay as solely about having sexual relations with the same sex. Gay people can fall in love without sex ever coming into the picture.

But in my research, I realized that it was something that was a temptation, and that God had something else for me. I now am the most happily married person, and when my spouse and I have a child, I will be able to say, Your daddy and I made you. You are a part of us both.
Having said all this, I just want to say again, I've obeyed my own convictions in giving my "interpretation", so please, before you make a choice to do this or anything that can be called into question, pray very hard, truly mean it, and ask God for His guidance, He is the only one that can judge, but don't forget that He WILL. I can't tell you what you can and cannot do, but He can, and whatever answer He brings, follow Him whether that means crucifying your own desires or not. Prayers to all.

The church is not the religion, only Christ defines Christianity. The belief is not that the Bible is false, but rather, that the human being has misused the verses to attack another group of people, like with mixed-race marriages and slavery. The church has been wrong before.
The one thing that really turns me against the gay community is shown at 1:59. Gays should be allowed to attend church, but it makes me sick when they try to act like there is nothing sinful about it, and try to make the church change their rules. The bible, what the entire church is based on very clearly speaks against it no matter what people say. Check out Lev 20:13, 1 Cor 6:9, Romans 1:22-28. Those are just a few places that makes itself very clear.

Many things in the Bible have to be read in context, particularly with reference to the verse in Leviticus.

The straight label means too much. I'm pretty much gay, but the tinest part attracted to girls. I may be able to sustain a relationship with a girl, but I'm not *sexually* attracted to them, and my attraction to guys greatly outweighs it and means I'll virtually never get with a girl anyway.
If you swap those attractions around (making me straight and a bit attracted to guys), chances are in this society I'd be petrified about that little part of me, even though it wouldn't really make me gay.

I am the proud friend and unbiological sister to a gay man who left his family because they didn't like the idea that he was gay and now everyday him and his boyfriend get shit for being in love with each other. I am the third wheel who helps this young man get through each day and a couple of times I was unable to stop him from slitting his wrists but I was able to keep him conscious til he received help

Thats just one issue that doesn't sit well with me, and its not just gay people, there are several people I feel that try to change the bible to fit themselves, and I just have an intolerance for it. As a very small child ur not attracted to anyone, but when that time hits where we begin 2 develop those feelings, is where the choice comes in. People may be attracted to the same sex, but just because its something you want doesn't mean its right. Straight single people have the "urge" to have sex, but that doesn't mean sex outside of marriage is right. There is pleasure in sin for a season.

When you become an adolescent, the period of sexual awakening, is when you start realizing your attractions. Again, I don't think being gay is a choice, because while everyone tends to have same-sex attractions sometime, gay people do not 'out-grow' it.
I think that a problem in many of the arguments against gay people is tagging being gay as solely about having sexual relations with the same sex. Gay people can fall in love without sex ever coming into the picture.

The one thing that really turns me against the gay community is shown at 1:59. Gays should be allowed to attend church, but it makes me sick when they try to act like there is nothing sinful about it, and try to make the church change their rules. The bible, what the entire church is based on very clearly speaks against it no matter what people say. Check out Lev 20:13, 1 Cor 6:9, Romans 1:22-28. Those are just a few places that makes itself very clear.

Re-read your Bible, particularly those verses, in context. The Bible is perfect and does not need to be changed, but there are so many plausible interpretations of the Bible that it is unfair to read it word for word and say that that is the whole truth. Many things in the Bible have to be read in context, particularly with reference to the verse in Leviticus.

The men as mentioned in 1:27 were not originally homosexual. They were heterosexual. They 'burned in lust' for each other because of their sin, which was idolatry. This is stated in the earlier parts of the chapter.
Our modern day understanding of homosexuality is not the same as in an ancient world where everyone was thought to be heterosexual. Paul, being human, wrote the letter to the people of the time without knowing that us, more than a thousand years later, would be reading it.
